my small pet is no longer with us due to this vet. Yesterday she was here and healthy today I watched go from fear from being handled so aggressively. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A SMALL PET.

I really can't recommend them enough (and have friends who registered there and have the same opinion!), they all truly care and they'll do what's best, and they'll do it with your pets best interest at heart.

On the 26th / 11 / 25 . I ask yous to help my dog. £77.39p tablets. Then onthe 17th / 12 / 25. told yous that the tables where no good. £83.81p You sold me the same similar tables. When I ask told to try them see how he gets on . Today 26th 12 25 my dog is still the same. With very bad chest. Today it says you are open only for your answer machine to say closed call Another ho is asking almost £200 just to look at him without treatment 😢 I am not a cash machine. It's 20 25 and we don't know how to treat kennel cough properly. Only for me to come back and told to try something else £££££££££ ?

I could write a sprawling negative review about this vet practice but the story is so long that I think I’d run out of space. I made a detailed and measured complaint about the continuous issues and negligence we experienced from this practice - both veterinary staff and reception staff. I also complained about the attitude of staff as I found them to be rude, obtuse and unempathetic. The practice response initially was to advise that it was “disappointing” and drag their heels in responding formally, trying to persuade me to go elsewhere despite my dog being very unwell and moving to another vet would be very stressful. Finally, they decided to ask us to leave the practice using offensive and inflammatory language in the process, at a time when our dog was incredibly unwell. Our dog sadly has now passed away and it appears clear from speaking with our new vet that Avenues ignored obvious early signs of the problem and neglected to investigate further which could have, at the very least, prolonged her life. Nicola is a vile human being who should not be in an industry dealing with people at the hardest times of their lives. Even after agreeing to engage with a mediation service that she was not legally required to engage with, she chose to double down on her unempathetic and ignorant stance and would not even offer an apology. I have never had such a bad experience from an organisation in my life - they are unprofessional and disrespectful.

I have really relied on the wonderful Vets, Vet Nurses and reception team this week and trust them implicitly with my baby / the precious / the love of my life Lychee. I’ve been meaning to write this review for so long but especially this week, they deserve it. Had to say the biggest thank you ever. Lychee was due in for his castration and to fix his tiny hernia, but they picked up on an issue with his liver and we have delayed this - it is absolutely the right decision for him and I’m grateful they offer the option for blood tests prior to a surgery like this. The same day I had a very important personal family appointment at the hospital and when I said I might be a wee bit later in picking him up due to this - they could not have been more personally supportive. Above and beyond. Here he is helping Lynsey with her back of house admin duties, having made himself quite at home. I’m aware he can at times, have a lot to say, so I apologise to your ear drums for his barky barks! The same week (yesterday) he really wasn’t coping with the heat at all. I took him out for his morning walk and he started wretching. This dog will never, ever turn down chicken so I knew something was wrong when I tried to give him some from M&S and he turned his head. Without an appointment I went straight to the Avenues, he was checked over immediately. They then put him in for the last appointment of the day to make sure he would be ok for the weekend, gave him an anti sickness injection and by the time he came home, he was doing his usual (climbing over cushion mountain, wanting tummy tickles and demanding chicken). I need to come back and update this review once I remember our wonderful Vets name (EDITED - KAREN!) as she is so good with him and her doggy “bedside manner,” seems to calm him down. She deserves credit for going the extra mile; making sure to always put on a wee Emla cream before his jabs, using extra tiny needles (as he’s only 2.4kg) and always calling in backup to “come and give Lychee a wee cuddle” as even though he is adorable, he is a two person drama King at times. He even comes out and tries to give her kisses after all being jabbed! I’ve been meaning to write this for a long time as since I brought him in for his first puppy check (and it’s a given that I was a first time, overly protective, questioning everything I was doing type of dog Mum) they have all been absolutely amazing. He dive bombed off the sofa and hurt his paw and when you see blood on your dog for the first time you panic like mad. I walked in to the other branch in floods of tears and Lisa scooped him up, she had him back to his boisterous self in no time. Genuinely so grateful to have a vet like this. Thanks guys, you are amazing! 🖤🐾

The best vet practice I've ever had a pet registered at. They have the best service, reasonable prices and such friendly and helpful staff. They always know how to keep my pup calm and he is always excited to be at the vets.
