We recently had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Charlie. It was one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make. Dr Aimee Keen was extraordinary throughout this process. Her empathy, honesty and calm support helped us navigate such a painful moment with clarity and compassion. She took the time to listen, to explain, and to truly understand what Charlie meant to us. On the day itself, both Dr Keen and the nurse who accompanied her were incredibly kind, gentle and respectful. They treated Charlie with dignity and treated us with such warmth and care. Receiving the thoughtful and heartfelt card afterwards meant more to us than we can express. In a moment of deep grief, that gesture brought real comfort. We will always be grateful for the compassion shown to our family and to Charlie. Thank you for helping us give him a peaceful goodbye.

We've been going to this veterinary practice for a few years now. They've always been very good however recently we had a major problem with our cat, Sidney. He was really not well and finally there were no good options left so we had to put our old fur baby to sleep. Those involved at Buttercross really did everything they could to help us through this difficult time. We were beside ourselves with grief but under the circumstances we (including Sidney) could not have been in better hands. All the staff were so very understanding and compassionate. The reception staff, the nurses, and especially Jen Goode MRCVS were brilliant. We cannot thank you enough. We will definitely go back to the Buttercross Team when we are ready to adopt a new pet. Thank you all so much!! Best veterinary centre ever!!

Money-minded above care for the animal. Stringently rigid if they can get money out of you. Clinically wanting. Spent alot of money for a persistent skin infection for my dog. They couldnt diagnose. In the end i treated it myself. Then my pointer had wax build-up in his ears. The shoved tissues down his ear with traumatising results and then my dog got an ear infection. Recently left a full bottle of pain killer for my GS at a hotel. I needed 3 days of meloxicamb to tied my old Gs over until the hotel posted it to me. But no! They needed to vet her again, so £110 appointment next day even though my old girl would suffer with her arthritis. No lea way, no over for her overnight pain...rubbish

What a happy experience it was to go to the Santa Paws party at the vets last Saturday. I took my two grandchildren and Lionel our dachshund and was greeted with an hilarious full reception full of dogs with or without Christmas outfits...It was very interesting to have a tour of behind the scenes.. the operating theatre , dog and cat wards..etc Lionel had his photo taken with Santa. It was great fun and thank you Buttercross vets for organising it.

Buttercross Vets in East Bridgford have been nothing short of outstanding. The staff provide excellent customer service and the vets are truly exemplary — always going the extra mile to ensure pets get the very best care. Our dog has complex epilepsy, and their dedication, compassion, and expertise have been above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. We feel so well supported and reassured knowing our pet is in such capable hands. Highly recommended!
