Extremely disappointing experience. I brought in an injured cat that was dragging its leg and clearly suffering. I explained that the cat was not mine and had been neglected by its owner, and I brought him in purely out of concern for his welfare. I was not asking for free treatment. I simply wanted the cat to at least be checked to make sure he was safe and not in immediate danger. However, they didn’t even examine him or assess his condition. I was told nothing could be done without payment, and there was no attempt to check on the animal’s welfare at all. It was incredibly upsetting to see a veterinary practice show no urgency or compassion in a situation where an animal was visibly injured and suffering. I left feeling completely let down. I would not recommend.

I went because I was afraid my cat had an ear infection and other problems and the vet was so kind and informed me that it’s rare for a cat to get an ear infection, so not only does he thoroughly check that everything is okay he made sure to let me know what an actual ear infection looks like as well as what I need to keep an eye out for when looking for fleas. He was also the first vet to tell me my cat is overweight and told me about food that can help him feel more full. He was so kind to my cat as well even petting him as he spoke to me. I would definitely recommend this place to other cat owners especially ones like me who ask a lot of questions :)

I would 100% recommend Essex Vets, they saw my golden retriever for a last minute appointment in regards to a lump I found, they said let’s remove and it was done the next day. I like the fact the vet is straight talking no beating around the bush! My boy is healing perfect! Thank you again!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I paid the £100 deposit for my Frenchie to have a c section , so i didnt have to pay emergency prices. Came here 3 times for bloods which cost £120 in total , 3rd time we came here turns out she was ready for a c section the vet tomas in his words told me his ready to “open my dog up she’s ready” but I will have to pay for 5 consultations that he had Tuesday. so that was an extra £275 for them he wanted to me to pay plus the £750 for the c section I paid the deposit so I didn’t have to pay extra on top. anyways after the way he spoke with an attitude, I felt like he only cared about money not my dog it was a sign to come home she did it all naturally herself and safe. after seeing a few reviews off how bad c sections have gone wrong this was a complete sign that vet Tomas is not the person to perform a c section on your dog . He only cares about money not the safety .
