I am giving this a 5 star review because today I saw Michael Lockerbie who has been our family vet for many years. He retired but does a few days a week and it was a pleasure to see him again. Prevously I was told by another vet that my cat needed to have over a 1,0000 pounds worth of cat treatment and today I was told, that would not be the case, because Michael Lockerbie knows his job well it makes me think how some vets are a rip off and try to make money out of you. Michael Lockerbie is a kind considerate and trustworthy vet I would highly recommend him.

Thomas and Alana are the dream team for anyone that wants their pets to be treated with kindness, love and compassion! I’ve been taking my dog there for 4 years and never had a bad experience, but I always ask to see Thomas and Alana ❤️❤️❤️

The best vets in Catford! Have been amazing with all four of my kittens! From them being neutered to one having an eye infection & I was seen the same day given eye drops which cleared it up right away! I love how they love animals & have their own dogs on the big screen in the waiting room. I even called throughout their operations & just really kind! Thomas & Alana really put my mind at ease! The vet was amazing 🤩 she is a cat lover which was even better. And for the price you really can’t complain. Thank you so much guys.

🚫⚠️VET NIGEL SMITH SHOULD BE FIRED⚠️🚫 Receptionist, vet nurses, all staff, especially ✨️Nurse Thomas ✨️and Nurse Alana✨️, and Vet Jonathan✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️, will go out of their way to ensure your pet is their top priority. They will use all of their mastered skills to care for your pet as quickly and efficiently as possible; their service is unmatchable. This is the only vet I trust with large breeds; regardless of size, they care for them like they're their own babies. However, Vet Nigel lets the whole practice down, unfortunately, with his cold-hearted attitude towards animals. He takes little to no interest in the owner's concerns and seems uninterested in treating or examining your pet. He declines to do basic checks—temperature, checking their wellness, or properly exploring the problem. He treats owners like idiots, as if you have no idea about basic biology or how to apply basic first aid, for example, to disinfect a wound or bandage it. He's quick to prescribe medicine based on a guess instead of basing his "diagnosis" on evidence. For example, if your dog has been gagging and has thrown up stomach acid for 6 hours but no solid food has come up, you would check their stomach for tenderness or hardness, then check their gums for whiteness or pinkness to show good blood circulation, and then look down their throat to ensure there was nothing stuck inside, right? Well, not Vet Nigel. He's happy to presume that your dog licked something funny and to just let them be, and only after you raise this concern does he then prescribe anti-sickness medication. "Vet" Nigel showed no interest in looking at my dog's paw to examine a possible infected injury and instead said, "We will just give antibiotics." It might as well have not been a consultation because the only interaction in the "3-minute" appointment was when my dog was sniffing him, and he said, "Can you get it away so I can type?" Yes, "it" 🐕 not her. After reading the comments here, all the bad ones are about Nigel; he's dragging the surgery down, and it would be much more popular if they would fire him or retrain him. His lack of empathy and disinterest in properly diagnosing and treating animals is a serious concern. I feel that he got into the practise for the wrong reasons he has no care or empathy I feel he may not even be able to physically express emotion other then annoyance. Iv also noticed that every single bad review of this vets surgery is about Nigel Smith the surgery would be much better if people weren't at risk of getting him and having to experience animal neglect from him to avoid this catastrophy they would fire him. As said, the other vets seem to keep this surgery up to a gold standard of five-star care, regardless of their colleague's actions. They keep a calm, comfortable environment for all people, regardless of color, gender, sexuality, or income. Please, if you are considering this vet, I would recommend it with my whole heart, but I would personally not request Nigel unless you care for animal neglect and a lack of care. All the other vets and nurses are outstanding, and the whole surgery is affordable and loving. I am very grateful for their care.

Fitzgerald's Veterinary practice were excellent on my recent visit with my cat Pablo. Service from Alana was very efficient and made Pablo feel very welcomed, and his vaccination and health checks were excellent. The team provided a top service for our young boy, also advising us on things to keep an eye on and what the next steps are in his treatment. Highly recommend!
