The Veterinary staff who attended were absolutely wonderful and could not have taken more care. But the bill. A charge for euthanising. Plus call-out charge. Plus drugs. Plus. Plus. You would think that the charge for euthanising might cover everything, wouldn’t you? I was stunned. Appalled. But I suppose I should be grateful there were no further hidden extras. Wear and tear on the vehicle? Bad weather excess? No criticism of the vets themselves, but of an exploitative business model.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent interaction with Kernow Equine Vets, specifically due to the behaviour of the practice manager Louise Dewar. She was incredibly rude, abrupt, and dismissive, making what should have been a straightforward conversation unnecessarily uncomfortable with her intimidating behaviours. There was a complete lack of basic customer service skills—no courtesy, no willingness to listen, and no attempt to communicate in a respectful or helpful manner. For someone in a management role, this level of poor communication is unacceptable towards their customers and reflects badly on the practice as a whole. As for a practice that deals with clients who are often already stressed or concerned about their animals, this attitude is wholly inappropriate. This interaction has seriously affected my confidence in the practice and I would 100% NOT recommend them to anyone!

I am extremely grateful for all of KFEs support and guidance over the years, their experienced vets look after my horses for routine appointments, lameness investigations, stud work and emergency appointments. Alistair, Julie, Nicole, and the wider team are all very understanding and go the extra mile to ensure they give my horses the best care possible and explain everything thoroughly, they are both compassionate and honest. Thank you KFE for all you do.

Fantastic friendly Service. Myself, reluctant to commit to a new vets after my original vets practice disbanded - have had all my anxieties put to rest in my new choice of equine vets practice. Recommended by many other ladies I ride with & know. 10/10 Kernow Vets for delivering a reassuring service. A total winner for me 👌💞

Friendly, patient and compassionate service. My two elderly ponies were treated with utmost respect at the end of their lives. I am so grateful to Alistair, to be riding my precious horse again after he saved her life. I highly recommend them.
