Just want to say thank you! I came in today worried about my cat but booked my appointment for the wrong day and burst into tears out of stress. The lady behind reception was amazing; she was so calm and got me an appointment on the day half an hour later! I feel so much more at ease after talking to the vet as well, couldn’t praise the surgery enough I’m so happy my two boys go to this vet ❤️

Killed my cat!!! It’s been a few months as I was too heartbroken to write about this and re-live the story again. I brought my 15-year-old cat, Theresa, to Leyton Midland Vets on 31/10/2025 because she had been vomiting daily and was clearly unwell. Despite this, and despite a suspected diagnosis of chronic kidney disease noted by the vet, she was given multiple vaccinations, a deworming tablet, and parasite treatment during the same visit without any prior blood or urine testing. Just days later, on 03/11/2025, her condition worsened dramatically. She developed severe breathing difficulties, something she had never experienced before. After rushing her back in, tests revealed serious multi-organ issues, including kidney, liver, and pancreatic complications, as well as fluid around her lungs. She was discharged later that day still struggling to breathe, and heartbreakingly passed away that same evening in a very painful and traumatic way. I truly believe that administering her multiple treatments while she was already unwell placed severe strain on her body and contributed to her rapid decline. Theresa was a deeply loved member of my family, and losing her in this way has been really devastating for all of us. I hope this review encourages reflection and change, so that no other pet or owner has to go through something like this again.

Perfect experience, friendly staff and super attentive vet. I really feel my cats are safe in their hands. Very transparent and upfront regarding treatments and costs without any type of hard sell.

A fantastic vet surgery, staffed with kind and helpful professionals who are all about caring for your pets, not about finding ways to charge extortionate fees. Compassionate and caring.

My dog means everything to me, so when she suddenly became sick and started shivering, I was terrified. I rushed to the clinic without an appointment and they took care of us right away. Their kindness and understanding meant the world. Thanks to them, my dog is now recovering. I’m so grateful and I highly recommend this vet clinic! Thank you again!

I have only praise for this amazing veterinary practice; and am so relieved as, like many people, my animals are everything to me. I have had smallish things related to our cat and dog and recently something serious: our dog had to have an eyelid mass removed and it had grown big. Emma Whitaker (the lead vet on this) was truly outstanding from small detail to major advice. The lead receptionist, Helen, was superbly efficient when dealing with our claim and we received a payment from Pet Plan quickly. All the reception staff were lovely and professional. Of course vet fees are difficult to manage but in our experience Midlands provide services at highly competitive rates and they do try to reduce fees where they can. (There are particular pressures on vets at the moment.) I don't mind if I have to wait a bit (although I haven't personally experienced much delay) because I would rather know that an animal is given the time they need, so I try to book on days/times when a delay is not going to impact on my work, in the event that I do have to wait. (I have always managed to park in a small PayByPhone area in a street on the left just passed the surgery if you are heading in the direction of Stratford - FLETCHER LANES.)

Cerdic Grimbly is the best Veterinary Surgeon along with Holly Swaby and Emma Whitaker. All the Veterinary Nurses, Support Staff and the Practice Manager have always been absolutely fantastic with me and both of my Cats over the past few years. Even when I had to put one of my Cats to sleep they were very professional, understanding and compassionate. They also sent a lovely condolence card. I went to Midland Veterinary Surgery again today with my newest Cat for his 6 month health check, yearly vaccination, nail clipping, de-worming, flea treatment and he is doing really well and is very healthy. I will definitely keep on coming here for many more years to come. I really reccomend this Surgery for your pets. Thank you for a 5 star service!
