Our guinea pig, Zazu, recently developed a lump on his neck. After learning how common (yet serious) these can be, we decided to get him checked out. After calling several practices in the Hackney area, The Hackney Vet was the only one with the specialist expertise required to treat him. When a course of antibiotics didn't resolve the issue, we faced the difficult decision of surgical removal. We were incredibly nervous, as general anesthesia is high-risk for guinea pigs, but we couldn't leave him in discomfort. Thankfully, Harry is an absolute miracle worker. He performed a flawless procedure, and after two weeks of recovery, Zazu is back to his usual, feisty self. We are so grateful to the wonderful, friendly staff and won't go anywhere else!

Best Vet I have had in London. Caring and knowledgeable vets. Prices feel fair and / or transparent. Sometimes I have to do some chasing of the paperwork, but nothing worth docking off a star! Great Vet practice. Cat deems it acceptable too, though you wouldn’t know it from her face

I can’t recommend Hackney Vet highly enough. The team always takes Kolbi’s issues seriously, even when it turns out to be something minor, which gives me so much peace of mind as a pet owner. They did an amazing job with her spaying — everything was clearly explained, the care was excellent, and her recovery went smoothly. Kolbi is always happy to go there, which says a lot! The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely care about the animals they treat. I’m so grateful to have such a trustworthy vet practice nearby.

I had such a lovely experience at The Hackney Vet from start to finish. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and reassuring. From the person on the phone to the receptionist at the front desk, we felt welcomed and taken seriously straight away. But the real highlight was our appointment with Toshi. Our kitten is extremely shy and easily frightened, so I was honestly quite nervous about how the visit would go. Toshi handled him with so much gentleness and calm that it completely changed the situation. You could really tell she understood how to approach a nervous animal. By the end of the visit, he was far more at ease than I ever expected. It turned what could have been a stressful first vet experience into something genuinely positive and reassuring for both of us. I would completely recommend this clinic to anyone with a kitten who wants compassionate, professional care.

Around a month ago, we went for our second visit to the Hackey Vet for my Indonesian cat, Munchkin. Since our first time there, I had a great impression of the service, standards of professionalism, and the positive and welcoming atmosphere. 🐱😊 Vet Amber was incredibly attentive, caring, and friendly. Munchkin was also very comfortable with her and at ease during the exam and injection. I am very grateful that we found this vet clinic. Definitely recommended! ❤️

Love this vet. We switched over from Medivet because we were tired of being overcharged and our cats subjected to unnecessary treatment. So glad we did. Everyone who works here is great with us and the vets are wonderful with our cats. We have had excellent help by phone and email and got great advice that has saved our guys stressful trips in. Even our very anxious cat feels safe here

To this vet place I have been coming since February 2020. The staff are always kind, friendly and supportive. Every time all my fur girls (cats) are getting so much love and care. A massive thank you to everyone who works there.
