We have been coming to mochdre vets for 7yrs now with our cat penny . Penny is great when she is there not stressed out about it especially with the cat palace, but she doesn't like the car journey there so when we saw an advert that they have a (district nurse) service i made more inquiries and booked Penny in for a home visit for a nail trim. Penny was much better having it done at home and lovely Amy was great with her and Penny didn't want to move off her bed 😀 I would definitely recommend this fantastic service that mochdre vets provide and it's reasonably priced as well .thank you Amy .

I can’t recommend the reception staff at Mochdre Vets highly enough. Every visit is met with a warm welcome, kindness, and genuine care for both pets and their owners. The team are always friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful, whether it’s booking appointments, answering questions, or helping in stressful situations. They go above and beyond to make you feel supported and reassured. It’s clear they truly care about the animals and the people who bring them in. I have been at this vets for a couple of years and I can't say I've been overly impressed with the times I've visited. The only time I thought the service was amazing was at the hydro pool. One time I attended for advice with a vets and they yawned repeatedly and asked me to repeat myself, I wasn't listened to and got charged for the experience. I wasn't happy with the nurse who have my puppy her injections she was really rough with her and I put it down to age and experience. I was planning on changing vets after my dogs spay as I was happy with the price quoted last year £360 which included everything. Unfortunately my dog had a phantom pregnancy so it was postponed to this year, we went for the checkup with a nurse and she was adamant it was 17 weeks after her cycle. I've since had this confirmed it is 12 weeks by 3 other vets. She then told me I now had to pay for extras such as the bodysuit and the cost had increased to £550. I was gobsmacked at such a high increase to what I was originally quoted as i can't see how you can justify that. And surprise surprise my original quote has vanished from the systems. Receptionist could be more friendly too. I have since found a vets im more comfortable with.

Always very friendly and helpful, our cat is seen promptly and with care. Would recommend. Have also received a phone call from the vet to check on our cat, they also send reminders for treatment which is good.

George came in today for his boosters and vet check. Seen by Rhys who was an amazing vet and put George totally at ease. We haven’t been with Mochdre vets previously with our dogs but after recommendations from friends were so glad we signed George up with them. Totally professional, amazingly friendly and just generally lovely people. Would recommend them to anyone

They are wonderful people in Mochdre Vets. My cocker spaniel, Billy, was treated with kindness and consideration during his lifetime. When the time came to say goodbye, he was treated with great respect and dignity. We could not have asked for more.

Mochdre Vets is truly wonderful and by far the best veterinary practice I’ve ever used. The care and attention shown by all the staff to both pets and their owners is outstanding. I’ve been using Mochdre Vets for almost nine years and have always received excellent service. It means so much to have a local vet that offers such a wide range of services. I would highly recommend Mochdre Vets to any pet owner.

Regarding our Cat Pixie who fell ill a couple of weeks ago . She was just not herself the usual soft , fun loving playful and active Cat she also began hiding away for no clear reason , she appeared to be in a lot of pain too which was confirmed as infection along with high glucose levels and a few days later diabetes diagnosis . . so we requested an appointment with Mochdre Vets who saw Pixie that same day. Diabetes was highly suspected by the team though not confirmed at that point as Pixie needed a few more tests over the course of the week which by the Friday was confirmed and treatment began the very same day , this was a huge sense of relief to us though not pleasant for Pixie as at least we know this can be treated as initially that day before the visit to the Vets we feared the worst, we felt we were losing her knowing how quickly Cats can become ill and deteriorate . Mochdre Veterinary practice having had great reviews both online and by word of mouth in the area where we live is very close to the Veterinary practice and we have to agree with reviews and local recommendations , the Vets are nothing short of outstanding , as is the receptionist , all throughout have gone above and beyond in our opinion . My partner giving much credit to everyone at the Vets which installs a lot of confidence and gratitude in me for the expert and brilliant treatment of our much loved Cat Pixie by all at Mochdre Vets.
