After my dog suffered a horrific, agonising death due to botched surgery and negligent aftercare, I posted an honest, detailed review including a photo clearly showing the wound. This practice reported the post-surgery photo of my dog's wound to Google as 'sexual content.' This was a calculated move to trigger an automated takedown of my review and hide the truth of their incompetence. They couldn't have the review removed for any other reason, so they played dirty using known loopholes. They're devoid of integrity and a total disgrace.

I lost my hamster nearly a week ago and the vet himself was so amazing although I was heartbroken and couldn’t think straight he did the best for my boots and I’ll always appreciate him and everyone at Oakhill veterinary center I just want to say thank you for listening to me while I was there!

Took our goose to Oakhill Vets in Goosnargh, she wasn’t registered, but they booked us in without hesitation. The vet was incredibly empathetic, talked us through every option, and was honest about the reality of her condition. We went home with medication and tried our best, but our beloved goose, Gwen, didn’t improve. When we returned, it was to say goodbye. I felt a bit daft being so emotional over a goose, but she was truly part of our family and such a big character. The vet and the reception team were kind, patient, and compassionate throughout. The vet even went above and beyond afterwards, confirming that Gwen had a mass and that even surgery wouldn’t have changed the outcome. Then today, we received a condolence card in the post, which meant so much. Thank you to the whole team for your support, care, and kindness. It genuinely made a difficult time a little easier.

This hospital needs to modernise its procedures. All members of the team, including RVNs, VCAs, and reception staff, should be fully aware of the legal requirements governing veterinary practice. Compliance with GDPR and RCVS guidelines is essential to operate legally and uphold professional standards. You cannot withhold veterinary documentation from a client pertaining to their animal due to a debt on the account. Not once has anyone showed compassion, instead I have been met with rude nurses (assuming bitter about their lives) both times I have consulted this hospital for my horses medical history. 10k spent and they act unlawfully as per RCVS GDPR guidelines over a £300 bill.

1st class service throughout. My pony Ruben was referred to oakhill for treatment on his eye for posterior uveitis and needed to stay in after the treatment for a few days for monitoring. Ruben doing fantastic after his treatment. Oakhill vets including Leoni and the vet nurses were absolutely fantastic. Caring, empathetic, great communication and updates from Leoni throughout, and I honestly felt like they looked after Ruben the same as if he were their own pony. Thankyou for everything you've done. Much appreciated by me and of course Ruben xx

Had an emergency appointment with our greenwing macaw, he was very sick and was seen straight away. The compassion from all the staff was fantastic, definitely a place that cares about animals. They even stayed after closing to help him. Thankfully he's fully recovered now and they have even made follow up phone calls to see how he is. Would recommend this vets to anyone and is definitely the best we have been to.
