At Lanes Vets, it feels like they really care about your pets. They take the time and effort to listen to any concerns and strive to get to the bottom of any issues. I used to take my pets to a large chain vet practice and it felt like you were on a conveyor belt - in and out quickly. Whereas at Lanes I never feel like I’m being rushed out of the door if I still have questions. The team are very friendly and welcoming - always a 5 star service provided! Special mention to the vet Peter who helped us and our cat during a difficult time. Whilst he may not always have had all the answers right away, he always took the time and made the effort to speak to colleagues for advice and do his own research to get back to me with other avenues to try and help my cat. If I tried to contact him and he was unavailable, he always got back to me when he had a moment free. He has a very calming demeanour which is great when he is handling animals that may be distressed. His support and advice was invaluable and incomparable. I feel he goes above and beyond for his patients and he is a real asset to the Lanes Vets team.

My cat had to have a small operation. Everything explained and the cost turned out to be much less than the initial potential quote. The care was first rate. All of the staff are excellent. I highly recommend this practice.

Professional and friendly. Listened to my questions and gave advice as I adopted a rescue kitten 12 months ago which I have appreciated. Always welcoming and surgery is spotlessly clean.

Kind, professional, experienced- what more could you ask for? Our poor dog Mabel had to have 12 teeth and a large growth removed from her mouth. We had been at a previous vet until a month prior and had queried her teeth 4 times but were told they were largely in good condition, just carry on brushing with a toothbrush… and they had removed the lump but not deeply enough so it grew back… one month with Lanes and an x-ray later and her teeth were clearly not fine at all and she was suffering unnecessarily. Jo carried out a long, complex operation to fix her up. After a previous bad experience at the old vet, we were nervous to leave our dog, but we were reassured in the pre op appointment, with Jo’s calm and kind nature, and the practice’s fear free policy, where they won’t leave an animal distressed in their crate before or after an operation. Even the cone they fitted was the minimum needed so our dog can carry out her daily activities but protect her op site. They gave very clear instructions on how to care for Mabel as she recovered and ensured she had plenty of medicine to take the edge off. She isn’t out of it, but is clearly not suffering when well dosed. Wish we had been with Lanes all along.

Took my dog in for a castration and couldn’t have had better service. They kept me really well updated and really took care of him. He is quite demanding of attention but they’d very obviously kept him happy. He came home thinking he’d just been at daycare! All the reception staff are really lovely and knowledgable, especially Karen. As are the vets and assistants. You can just tell they all actually enjoy working there and doing what they do, which wasn’t the case for the last vets we were at.
