My 12yr old boy has been with lanes for a few years, has been in good health, until recently. He wasn’t right so I took him to lanes, they agreed but couldn’t pin point it. Finally found out it was an infected tooth and gum. He had them out under a general anesthesia. They were so good with him and kept me informed as soon as it was over. A week later I found a suspicious lump and took him to lanes with no appointment. They saw him straight away and gave him a biopsy, phoned me an hour later with good results. Their prices for treatment ect are reasonable, they never push you to get treatment and always give you options as well as the cost beforehand. I Highly recommend!

Lanes Vets have looked after my pets for over 20 years and I have always been very happy with their care and advice. The staff are friendly and really show sn interest in the health and well being of their patients. My boys are always happy to visit and that suits me.

I moved to, Heysham from , Ulverston a little over 12mths ago and was recommended, Lanes vets at Lancaster by a friend . Little did I know this would be the best choice I made for my cats . All the staff at , Lanes vets are superb . Very friendly, helpful and welcoming making me and my cats feel more like part of a family than just a client. It's always a pleasure to see everyone on duty when ever I attend and , even though one of my cats is always less than impressed when he knows where we are when we open the cary case, the staff always take the time to be patient with him and make him feel calm . I really can't praise lanes enough and would recommend anyone looking for a vet to consider popping in or call to get registered.

Always been great with my Labrador Dexter, only downside is for more complex treatments you tend to have to travel to Garstang

They like to try and make you over vacinate your dogs. They primarly use Lepto L4, you can ask them to get L2 however you will need to pay for a full box.

Heidi's usual vet (Heather) is brilliant, she looks forward to seeing her, they have a great appointment together. Unfortunately she saw a different one this time, (Virginia), she was distressed from the first moment, by the end, I had to leave the granddaughter to deal with the final minutes, once decided what she suggested we did, will have to ensure she sees Heather in future. Heidi, Kiara and Peter.

Finding a new vets due to repeated incompetence from the receptionists booking and attitude. Chris has twice booked my cat in incorrectly and once not even marked him in correctly blaming the vet! His injections are required every 28 days. Twice he’s booked my cat in and stated yes it’s definitely done for 28 days. I arrived to be told by the nurse the first time it was 2 days too early so had to rebook him in. The next it was 1 week too early. Which the injection would be classed as being done unlicensed as it’s to early. Both times bringing my cat unnecessarily, it won’t just be mine I imagine the majority of animals won’t like car journeys!!! Chris has also left us waiting more than 1.5 hours incorrectly booking us in or should I say lack off. Then blamed the vet when asked how much longer were we to be kept waiting. He said the vet had marked him as being seen!!!! The vets aren’t incompetent and I feel very professional so to blame the vet for his mistake was a joke. The female assistant also on at the time was extremely apologetic and sorted this. Felix was booked in at 4:45 it was gone 6 that we were seen. At that point I had to arrange my son’s grandad to collect him from nursery at 6 due to Chris’s mistake! Felix was booked in this morning for his injection at 9:45. I had to send my husband due to me being 35 weeks pregnant I’ve suffered this morning and struggled getting out. Chris has turned him away with an attitude. Wouldn’t even rebook him when asked!! This injection is to help with my cats pain. Why is someone working in a vets who clearly has disregard to animals?Due to him and his attitude i am now searching for another vets. Whenever i arrive to be booked in through him there is always issues which he blames on the vets not himself who is responsible on reception?
