Phone calls are not going through for non emergency and automatically hanging up your call! Online platform = Androids Talking to eachother= Human Disappointed ππππππππ My experience with PDSA Croydon was extremely frustrating and disappointing. The service feels heavily pushed toward forcing callers onto online systems, with very limited access to an actual human. For an organisation that deals with pets and urgent welfare situations, this approach feels completely unsuitable and out of touch with reality. Instead of receiving direct help, you are repeatedly redirected away from speaking to someone, as if human interaction is being deliberately removed. In urgent situations, this is not just inconvenient β it creates stress and delays when people are already seeking immediate support. It honestly feels like the service is prioritising digital systems over basic human care, which is unacceptable for this type of organisation. Not everyone can or should be forced into online-only communication, especially when time-sensitive help is needed. I hope serious consideration is given to restoring proper access to human support rather than continuing this rigid and frustrating system. I don't want to give a a star but need to...

Cant get through to book a normal appointment on the phone and it instead forces you to go through the website and will then hang up on you. My dog is exhibiting symptoms of GDV/Bloat and the receptionist named Cheryl with NO vet training was trying to ask me have I fed him any chicken π of course ive tried to feed him chicken you bat She then proceeded to give me an appointment thats nearly 24h away when we all know the symptoms he is exhibiting require immediate treatment I now have a poorly limp dog with me at home for ANOTHER day of not eating and showing symptoms of a blockage or bloat Beware if you call up to describe your animals symptoms, if its leg hasn't fallen off Cheryl is not giving you an emergency appointment Cheryl is guarding those emergency appointments like they are the last KFC chicken wings in a zombie apocalypse Please beware if its an emergency dont even ring the PDSA line just go straight to the location cos Cheryl tends to have a LOT LESS attitude in person rather than over the phone Dont let your animal get "Triaged" by a Receptionist who very clearly told me shes got no vet experience and shes only a receptionist This was coming from the woman whos best piece of vetinary advice was to see if my dog goes toilet and see if he eats boiled chicken. Be careful of this receptionist when getting help for your pet

My cat Clementine was seen on two occasions for her infected eye. The fist visit she was not diagnosed properly; the second even worse. We were told to put her down because she has a tumor. We took her to another vet and they properly diagnosed her with an infecton, prescribed antibiotics, steroid cream and 2 weeks later she has fully recovered. We are deeply concerned about the level of treatment provided to us and our cat. This situation is extremely concerning and misdiagnosis was obvious. Perhaps we caught these vets on a bad week or they are under qualified but either way to tell us to put her down and she manages to pull through with the help of another vet can only indicate a very poor lack of judgement.

I have nothing but praise, yesterday I had to have my cat, Cheeky, put to sleep. The staff were so compassionate and understanding in this heartbreaking time. They treated Cheeky with kindness even after she had passed. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. I would add that they were there to help Cheeky and were not money oriented. A great veterinary practice and I would highly recommend.

Urine on floors and my cats caught fleas after their first visit. Whoever responds to emails is very rude. They lack understanding and contradict themselves due to lack of organisation amongst themselves. Now my 2 kittens pay the price and are struggling. They barely respond as well.

We took in our kitten named Marni. Thanks to the dedicated team at PDSA and Croydon Vet, who worked tirelessly, Marni received the care he needed. They kept us informed throughout the process and took the necessary steps to save his life. One week later, heβs back to his adorable self! I should mention that until last week, we thought Marni was a girl! The team informed us otherwise, and we had a good laugh about it. I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone involved!
