I’m not sure how much they actually care about the quality of life for pets here. I can’t speak for all the vets here but the first two lacked empathy, kindness and reassurance. When simply asked if a health issue could be serious, even though it was a small thing such as urinating inappropriately, he begins to say “well it could be a disease or cancer” with zero remorse. We can google symptoms and scare ourselves, there’s no need for a vet to do that when we’re going to them for a reason — for reassurance that our pets will be okay. I felt like i was forcing a female vet to give me the reassurance i needed after all the examinations and tests my pet got put through. Her body language made it feel as if i was bothering her with my questions when they’re supposed to be there to answer them. They have the answers, we don’t. And please stop asking for a “suggested contribution of £25” as soon as we step into the building for our appointment. It leaves some of us in an awkward position of declining with the room so quiet and a crowd of people behind. You run as a charity vet and as much as some of us would love to donate, we go to you for a reason — because affording private healthcare for our pets is difficult especially on benefits and minimum wage. Suggesting £25 forces us to donate £25 or nothing at all. When some of us would actually love to donate whatever we can (below the “suggested amount”). Small tip: instead of asking before an appointment has even been complete, maybe leave a contribution box or a text message link afterwards.

Very helpful kind and understanding. They where gentle with my cat and gave me advice to put my mind at rest. When the appointment was over they even called me a cab. My cat and I are now registered as patients.

Was able to negotiate with the vet. The vet explained all eventualities. The procedure was quick and efficient. The cat is now doing really well.

The whole staff were fantastic 👏 I brought my cat in who had been on oxygen all night at the Romford Pet Hospital. They made an emergency appointment for me. They did urine tests, blood tests and imaging. My darling Hope ♥️ my cat had growths in his lungs so they put him down while he was still under anesthetic with my permission. They wrapped up his body in his favourite blanket and gave him to me for home burial. They couldn't have been kinder and more professional in my time of need. I am devastated to loose my little boy Hope. But they gave him the care and relief when we needed it 😌 I will always be very grateful for the team at Bow PDSA Pet Hospital. Thank you 😊 and God bless 🙌 🙏 I am having Hope cremated with Phoenix Pet Cremation 🙏 ❤️

making money hospital, they "care" about pet but more about £££££££££ you call if you want to use them! Also, you call the line you get bumped around and around and later they ask you to go online or share another number? why if I Call a number you share another number over the phone, just to make things easy right.... disturbing way to manage clients that call to talk to you...

Do not recommended this hospital our pet dog Alaska went here several times for check ups and problems etc. When the vets said she’s fine it’s just a water infection when in fact she was pouring out blood and wasn’t able to go toilet. The vets just supplied us with tablets medication. Rather than giving her an xray or ultrasound to find out what the issue was. They just chucked medication at us and told us to see if she gets better in fact this time double the dosage. While being on that medication it slowed our Alaska right down to the fact that’s she couldn’t walk or go toilet anymore so we rushed her to the emergency vets some place else to only get told that her blood vessels have popped and her stomach was filling up with blood to tell us that she has cancer! In which bow PDSA should have properly looked at her and done there job and could have treated it earlier on as she has had it for a while! sadly we had no choice as she had 1% of surviving and had to lose our Alaska by putting her to sleep as she was in pain! We are heartbroken as a family as we put full accountability to bow and blaming them for there actions. 29th December we put her to rest and have been broken since! Avoid at all costs! 💔

Sadly the time had come for our 18 1/2 year old cat to make the journey over the rainbow 🌈 bridge, as her long standing ailments had got the better of her. The genuine heartfelt compassion shown, not just by the vet treating her, but by all staff was second to none. Everything was explained fully and carried out on our timescale and only when we were and felt she was ready. At no point were we rushed and we were given all the time we wanted to say our goodbyes. They even took the care to insure after we left she remained in her favourite soft snuggy and was wrapped loving in it. The empathy they showed us made a very sad and distressing time much more bearable. Thank you PDSA for your compassion, empathy, and care. All the money in the world could not have provided a more dignified service.
