We can’t thank Streetly Vets enough for the care and compassion they showed to our beloved cat Harry at the end of his life. Such a heartbreaking time was made a little easier by the kindness and support from all the staff. Receiving a condolence card afterwards was such a thoughtful touch and meant so much to us. Truly grateful for everything they did for Harry and our family. Highly recommend.

I highly reccomend this vets! All of the receptionists i have spoken to over the phone are always extremely kind & helpful you can tell they really care for the animals where as alot of vets just care about the money. I have recently taken in a stray cat and got him neutered here, i had a young lady called Alice she was so lovely & polite answered any questions i had, Thank you Alice

My dog Kernow loves going there and the advice and welcoming atmosphere to animals and animal parents is first class. Thank you all.

My 86-year-old mum took her 13-year-old Staffie, Ruby, to Streetly Vets so that she would have a local practice nearby in case of emergencies. As a new client, we were drawn in by their advertised “Free Consultation.” What we experienced, however, was very different. The consultation was only “free” if Ruby had no issues requiring care — something we were not made aware of beforehand. Ruby was given a pain-relief injection and ear treatment without any discussion of the costs involved. My mum was simply presented with a bill for around £260 at the end, with no explanation or opportunity to give informed consent to the treatment provided. Given that veterinary practices are already under scrutiny for a lack of transparency and inflated pricing, this experience sadly demonstrated exactly why. Vets have an obligation to be upfront and honest about costs so that owners—especially elderly ones—understand what they are agreeing to before treatment takes place. No pet owner should feel as though they are signing a blank cheque. We are very fortunate with our usual vet in Peterborough, who always discusses treatment options and associated costs beforehand. It is disappointing that Streetly Vets did not show the same level of integrity or clarity. I hope this feedback encourages the practice to rethink how they communicate costs to clients so that others are not placed in the same position.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my assistance dog received at this practice. I was initially told that only one tooth would be removed, but in fact 13 teeth were taken out without my prior knowledge or consent. I was not informed beforehand about the extent of the procedure, nor that one of the teeth required drilling. When I became visibly upset, a nurse responded insensitively by saying, “your dog has other teeth,” which I found deeply upsetting given the situation. It then took two weeks—and me having to actively pursue the matter—before I was given any explanation, and this only came after I made a formal complaint. It was only through submitting a Subject Access Request that I discovered the full details, including the drilling. I had high hopes for this family-run practice, but unfortunately my experience has been very negative. The response to my complaint felt defensive and did not adequately address my concerns.
