It’s taken me a while to write this review but I feel other pet owners should be aware of my experience with Willet House. I took my 15 year old dog there because she had a mass on her leg. I was told she would need blood tests, an ultrasound and likely a biopsy under anaesthetic, despite her age, and was reassured that her heart and other vitals were fine. They quoted me over £1,000 just for investigations and throughout the appointment the vet seemed quite unbothered, so I decided to get a second opinion. The second vet listened to her heart for less than 30 seconds and immediately found an extremely loud heart murmur — louder than her actual heartbeat. After a proper and compassionate discussion, we made the heartbreaking decision to let my beautiful girl rest peacefully, but thanks to the second vet she was given pain relief and steroids to keep her comfortable beforehand. I did return to Willet House to ask whether they had picked up on the murmur at all, but there was no apology or concern shown. I truly feel my elderly dog was going to be put through unnecessary stress and invasive procedures without anyone identifying what turned out to be a very serious heart condition, just to make more money . Please always seek a second opinion if something doesn’t feel right.

Yesterday, on Easter Day, my pregnant dog had a sudden emergency. Thanks to the incredible team, both she and her litter were saved. The staff were not only highly professional but also genuinely kind and supportive throughout the entire experience. I couldn’t be more grateful for the outstanding care we received.
