So disappointed and let down. I took my 13 yr old OES there 3 days ago for urgent attention due to him having black stools and googling his symptoms. He is an old dog and had some expectations of bad news. After being checked out and given stomach medication and told his heart rate was good, he came home and I started the medication twice daily. After 3 dispenses I found him in a coma like state the following night and made him comfortable. I found him passed away yesterday morning at home in his bed. I tried to call Voy Vets for advice and the Margery number, traumatised and upset as didn’t know what to do with a large deceased dog in my kitchen. 11 calls no answer and I left a message then went up there. I was told Clinic was closed and they couldn’t do anything until later in the evening or next morning as other jobs on. No personal condolences from the person who treated my boy 2 days before. What do I do with him? It’s Saturday morning. I had support from my best friend who phoned a pet crematorium who couldn’t help then Clare Vets who immediately helped and advised to bring my boy to rest there before a personal cremation was arranged. More money but the dignity my boy and I deserved. I have had experiences there before with 2 dogs which were suitable for purpose, reasonable costs but wouldn’t say personal and certainly not now.

Voy vets is a vets that actually cares about your animals. Unlike most vets that are basically out to bankrupt you. If you have a seriously ill pet I can tell you James and the rest of the staff will absolutely do their utmost to fix the problem.... 10 out of 10 from me

We’ve been going to James for many years now with our dogs. And truthfully very little has changed over those years… except the queuing to be seen. Since COVID you have to queue in your car to be seen. And truthfully you could be in that car for maybe an hour before being seen - and there are no public toilet facilities. This can be distressing for both pets and owners, in our experience. And the premises themselves are just grubby and worn. This place is not a bright, clean smart location like, say, Pets at Home, for example. Other than that, James and his team really know their stuff. Their treatment of our pets has been spot on. Always well diagnosed and treated. And the care of our pets is our priority- so Voy does that very, very well. Final comment- the phone system! OMG! It would literally be easier to get an audience with the pope! The phones are only answered at certain times and truthfully the published times are only a guide. Sometimes you can be calling repeatedly for over an hour during those times, just getting a recorded message, before someone answers. And, in the past, the emergency number used to connect you to someone at Voy. Now you are redirected to a different company. We tried to use them once - whilst very professional on the phone, the prices they charge are extremely expensive, to the point that we waited until Voy reopened and took our pet there instead.
