My dog was transferred to White Cross when my vet closed. I was never happy attending White Cross. It always felt more like a shop than a vet. The final straw was the extortionate price charged for a prescription. I left and found a vet I am happy with. Given today's findings and the ruling that prescription prices cannot exceed £21 I wasn't wrong.

We moved 2 of our dogs over to White Cross from another vets in Sale about 5 years ago and then when we got our 3rd dog she joined them too. We were initially very happy with the service however over the last 12 months you never saw the same vet. Things then came to a head at the end of last year. We had just had our eldest Springer Snoop put to sleep then barely a week later were told our middle Springer had liver enzymes 40 times higher than normal. We were told she needed to go to the Vet Hospital in Whitefield. What they didn't mention was they wanted £350 just for a consultation. White Cross's practice manager (never even met him in those 5 years) then contacts me to say 'Oh her liver enzymes were actually very high in her last 2 blood tests in 2023 and 2024'. Yet no one at White Cross said a thing about it. When I asked for them to send one of my dogs records to the new vets they instead sent it to me. It always felt like you were rushed out of the door when being seen and never dealt with by anyone with several years of experience. As soon as we moved to a vets 6 miles away (the extra distance was well worth it) the practice manager there made sure he dealt with the liver enzymes issue himself. No £350 consultation or vets hospital visit. We've now been to see the new vets twice in the last 2 weeks and the professionalism, care and knowledge is through the roof compared to White Cross. Our last visit to White Cross the vet said when I mentioned about not being told about the high liver enzymes in 2023 and 2024 reply was 'Yeah well even though the levels we 10 times higher than they should it's not really a major concern'. Well those levels eventually became 40 times higher than they should. The Wellness plan also went up god knows how many times in those 5 years. It started at £25 a month. When we left they wanted £31.50 a month.

We have always had such wonderful service from all staff, reception through to the vets. We very sadly had to say goodbye to our German shepherd today (Ina) the compassion and care from all staff made a very sad day bearable. Thank you for treating our girl with care like she was your own. Would highly recommend this wonderful team x

Best vets I had ever taken my dog to. They have a great pet plan that's very fairly priced, and allows you to save money on such a range of veterinary care and that it actually worked out cheaper than the PDSA. The staff truly care, and are so friendly. They gave my dog the best veterinary treatment he'd ever had, and went above and beyond for him. I cant reccomend them highly enough. They made my beautiful dogs last few months as pain free and happy as possible. Everyone at White Cross were outstanding. Kind, gentle and caring and made the very end as easy as they could for me and Pepper. And even took a paw print for me as I'd forgotten. I've included photos to show just how much they care about animals and clients. Cant ever thank them enough for such exceptional quality and going the extra mile. Thank you
