Vicky treated our old dog kitty with kindness and professionalism at the end of her life. Also helped us through a difficult time Billy had his monthly checkup and annual jab. Had his nails clipped which he hates but Vicky managed to do them with not much fuss.

I've been taking my dog bella to Whitstable Bay for the last couple of years and had nothing but impeccable service, kindness and understanding! My girl is so nervous and scared and they have been so accomodating with her. She had to have x-rays last year and was so nervous they let me sit in a consultation room for over 45 minutes to get her to settle while a sedative kicked in to make her as happy and comfortable as possible! She usually sees Vicky but today we saw Maddy who was equally fantastic! I asked about Bella's anxiety meds and Maddy managed to catch Vicky for a quick chat between appointments to make sure the best possible decision was made for Bella and her ongoing treatment. From reception to the vets, they are just impeccable and I am so grateful I have somewhere I can take my incredibly nervous dog where I know she will be respected, treated with compassion and understanding, and given the absolute best possible treatment. I cannot thank them enough for making something that is incredibly scary for Bella so much easier. Thank you thank you thank you xx

Fantastic vets. We live in Gillingham and recently changed to Whitstable Bay vets as Adam had to sort out my male cats broken leg in 2018 so professional such lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I am writing this review due to unacceptable conduct, poor communication, and aggressive billing practices at this surgery. Earlier this year I brought my 11-year-old Shar-Pei in due to excessive urination and age-related health concerns. After paying for a urine test, serious illnesses were ruled out and I was told the issue was likely Cushing’s disease, which I was informed is not life-threatening and can be monitored. I asked about blood tests and was told they were very expensive and would only confirm Cushing’s disease, with no cure or treatment offered — just monitoring. I was willing to pay if clinically necessary, but given that the test would not change the outcome, I reasonably declined at that time. Months later, when symptoms worsened, I returned and proceeded with blood tests. During this visit, the vet applied dye to my dog’s eyes without informing me this would be an additional charge. I paid in full at reception for the consultation, blood tests (paid upfront), and medication, and was given no indication anything remained unpaid. Weeks later I was contacted and told I owed around £20 for the eye test. When I later came in to pay, I was blindsided by an added £15 “late admin fee” — with no prior warning. When I questioned this, I was spoken to rudely and publicly and made to feel as though I had deliberately avoided payment, which is completely untrue. Only after I challenged this was the fee removed. This practice is severely overpriced, lacks transparency, and the reception staff’s attitude was confrontational and unprofessional. I will be taking my animals elsewhere unless I receive a sincere apology for the appalling treatment I received. I strongly advise others to question all charges and demand full clarity before agreeing to any procedure.

The staff are Just superb at this vets, from the front desk to the veterinarians. having to say goodbye to your pet is heartbreaking, but they made the process far less stress-full, no rushing during the procsss, allowing a private quiet place to get ready, not marching you to the desk for payment, and even letting you exit through a private exit, meaning you don’t have to walkthrough the front. A thoughtful and clam way to do things Truly exceptional service from a caring and skilled team, a special mention to Beth, who really helped during this process.
