Earlier this month we were having problems with our young 15 year old Yorkie, she was lethargic, wouldn’t eat, wouldn’t poo just slept, we really thought we were losing her. Then on the Tuesday before Easter she seemed to be getting worse so we took her to Alderdale in Skegness, the vet a young Spanish lady did an examination and couldn’t find much wrong, not constipated etc, she gave us a prescription for paracetamol and a fluid to either inject into the mouth or add to food, she also said if she got no better to bring her back but they are closed over the bank holiday. Well it seemed to do the trick for a couple of days, then she went back to being lethargic etc. out of desperation we took her to the Alderdale hospital in nearby Spilsby, after a bit of a wait we were seen by another young Spanish lady vet who was absolutely excellent, she cared, she examined her, took her temperature and gave her blood tests, we were in there for a couple or three hours, she (Carlota) waited to test the blood samples and found her vital organs were performing well, she does have a heart murmur but we knew that, she prescribed tablets but also wanted to check for being diabetic, the next day we chased her around to get a sample, eventually we achieved our goal! We took the sample back and they checked straight away and she was given another tick in the box, it wasn’t just Carlota but Charley on reception but so knowledgable, very chatty and showed empathy towards us, but the star of the show was Carlota, she is the kindest, most gentlest Vet we have ever met, okay vets aren’t cheap, but they didn’t charge holiday rates, it was flat rate, we saw efficiency knowledge and kindness personified, these people for us are the success of the business, the reason I’m writing this is lots of practices get negative reviews and rightly so in my experience and I felt it was only right and proper to extend our thanks to the whole of the practice, if you open one in Birmingham you have a customer. Thanks Chris & Steve Mills

Disappointing. I witnessed some real sloppy unprofessional work from the vets that put my dog in unessasary stress and pain and when I complained about it, i wasn't even acknowledged with an explanation or an apology. Its took another vet to rectify their mistakes now. The vets in question should be embarrassed

An absolutely brilliant veterinary practice. All staff are incredibly kind and caring. I took my rabbit in as an emergency last night at about 2am, and despite the inconvenient time, the vet and nurse were swift to get my baby sorted. He was kept over night and looked after incredibly well, the staff even picked dandelions for him in this cold weather. I am so grateful to all the staff, I don’t know what I could have done without them. And I’m sure my bunny is very grateful to be feeling better and back to his usual self. Look no further than this vet, it is by far the best. Your pets will be in very safe hands here!

Absolutely fantastic staff, they were brilliant with our much loved but very fearful rescue (Ned) to the point where he willingly went towards Ben the Vet All the staff were amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone and I dont normally do that but these guys were pet over profit which is a rarity!

I recently endured a traumatic experience at the hands of a local vet, which led to the premature death of my beloved cat. This experience caused me to register with a new practice, being Aldervale Vets. On my first visit to the practice, I was understandably very anxious. But, I was lucky enough to see a wonderful vet called Daniel. He was so kind and caring with my young female cat, and his genuine love of cats is evident. He discussed all treatment options in full, welcomed my input, and allowed me to make an informed choice. I highly recommend this vet for all cat owners.
