Armour Veterinary Group - Crosshouse

Great vets - fabulous 'bedside' manners, know their stuff and lovely staff. Highly recommend.

New to Mauchline, so new to Armour vets in Mauchline...wonderful staff one of my two dogs had dental surgery 8 teeth out, their care was wonderful! dogs 2 surgery next week, also very affordable - I highly recommend!

Avoid. Gave my dog 4x the dose of (preventative) wormer for a pregnant dog, 5 days before you are meant to start worming in pregnancy. The reason for lower dose in pregnancy seems to be risk of being teratogenic. Now 3 of the puppies were born with limb deformities and I can't help wondering if that was why. Regardless, it was the incorrect dose so a medication error and we didn't get much caring or apology when in was mentioned by me at a checkup. Also, I feel like this is more of a large animal vet and not ideal for pet dogs. One of the vets we saw was quite rough, lifting her up by the front paws to see her surgical wound, and there were never any treats and patting. Now the dog is scared of the vets which she wasn't before so we are working on that with a different practice we moved to. She's a really obedient pet dog and they could have just asked her if they wanted her to do something.

Had to take my young cat Jake today. Spoke to receptionist Elizabeth who was very helpful indeed. Didn't wait long before Petra shouted us through. Would just like to say thank you all, for the 5 star treatment we received. Will not be going anywhere else. Thanks again Craig

Very friendly and caring group of folk, receptionists, nurses, vets, my big boy Barclay runs in the door he can't wait to see the lassies at reception and the vets.
