About Ashley Veterinary Centre
Welcome to the Ashley Veterinary Centre, a friendly and inviting veterinary practice located in the vibrant town of Glasgow, Scotland. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to a wide range of household pets and wildlife, including birds, cats, dogs, exotic species, wild animals, and small mammals.
Our veterinary practice is led by our Principal, Dr Doranne Ashley, who holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) degree and is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). In addition to Dr Ashley, our team of veterinary surgeons consists of Dr Chelsea Hamilton, who also holds a BVSc MRCVS qualification. Together, they have extensive expertise in treating both common and rare animal ailments and are committed to ensuring the wellbeing of our patients.
In addition to our dedicated veterinary surgeons, the Ashley Veterinary Centre is staffed by a team of professional veterinary nurses, including Miss Michelle Laing (RVN) and Ms Robyn Lisle (RVN). Our nurses play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our patients and work closely with our veterinary surgeons to deliver exceptional care.
At the Ashley Veterinary Centre, we understand the busy schedules of our clients, which is why we offer flexible availability to accommodate your needs. Our practice is open six days a week, with the following hours:
• Monday: 08:30 – 18:00 • Tuesday: 08:30 – 18:30 • Wednesday: 08:30 – 18:00 • Thursday: 08:30 – 18:30 • Friday: 08:30 – 18:00 • Saturday: 09:00 – 12:00
Please note that we are closed on Sundays.

My dog never enjoys the visits but I do because the staff keep me so reassured that he's in the best hands. I've been to a few vets but I'll be sticking with this one. So efficient, always have time for you, remember the little things. Thank you team xx

We came here today with our kitten and got her a checkup as we were worried about her health. The vet was fantastic! She gave her a thorough checkup and gave us advice. Thank you for booking us so last minute & putting our minds at ease ♥️

One of the nicest vets I have ever visited, was really happy with my cats experience here. The vets are friendly and really helpful and keep you completely updated about your pet, I will be using this practice from now on.

I recently had to have my elderly cat euthanised and I honestly cannot praise the team here enough. I dealt with multiple members of staff during booking, payment (I paid in advance so the procedure/appointment could focus on my cat rather than logistics - was offered this by the practice I might add), during the actual appointment and collecting her ashes a few weeks later. All of the staff treated me with the utmost kindness and compassion and all were genuinely lovely through each step of the process. They made a really horrible experience as easy as it could have possibly been and I will be forever grateful for the team for this.

Best vet in Glasgow. Knowledgeable but sensible. Finding a balance between a vet that is thorough without exploiting patients/clients is difficult in this industry, but ashley vets have a wonderful collection of caring staff who want the best for your dog without rinsing you on every visit (I wont mention the other establishments I'm talking about.) Being a dog walker/boarder, I've visited just about every vets in Glasgow, and moved my own dog from three different vets over the last few years as I felt despite their reputation, the service my dog had received was simply not good enough. I landed and settled with Ashley vets because they met all of my criteria, and with my dog now ageing and visiting monthly with dental work needing done, arthritis medication being administered, the odd bad bump from him being totally blind, along with the usual annual visits, I'm confident I made the right decision with where I take him. He doesn't trust people easy but he wags his tail on his way into this place each time. And I've never seen a dog being dragged in the door like I've seen everywhere else. I would trust these girls with any dog (or cat) one hundred percent, and you should too. In fact the only criticism I could have is that they let me off far too easy with my boy being a bit rotund!
