I was quoted a very high cost for treatment at Bond Street Vets, with charges added for different stages of care. I later went to another local veterinary practice and was quoted a far lower overall price for the same treatment, which was carried out successfully. This experience really highlighted how extreme the price differences between vet practices can be. Veterinary fees in the UK are not regulated, and situations like this show why greater price transparency, or regulation, would better protect pet owners. I would strongly advise anyone using this practice to get a written, itemised quote and to compare prices with other local vets before proceeding.

Outstanding service. Warm and friendly staff. Clean and tidy grounds. Very clean and modern inside. Our dog came back very happy. Worth crossing the Pennines for. Thank you so much, to all :)

I’ve been coming here for years with my dog Lola, and the care has always been fantastic. Recently she went in with a slight limp, and Fiona was amazing from start to finish. She took it seriously, explained the best course of action, and went above and beyond to make sure Lola was well looked after. She was so nice, friendly, and reassuring throughout. I didn’t catch the receptionists’ names but they were also so lovely and welcoming. We’ve always been so well cared for and I’m genuinely sad to leave due to moving away.

If we could give 100 stars we would… We can’t thank the team at Bond Street Vets enough for the incredible care and compassion they showed our beloved English bulldog, Vinny. What started as what we thought would be a routine check-up after feeling a little unwell over the weekend, turned into a terrifying, emotional two-week ordeal filled with emergency surgery, complications, and more worry than we could’ve imagined after he ate a rock the size of a a grown man’s fist, literally. But throughout every step of the way, our faith in Alex, our vet surgeon, never wavered. From the moment we met him, Alex exuded confidence, compassion, and dedication. Despite the seriousness of Vinny’s condition—which involved not only removing the rock but also cutting part of his intestines out—Alex was calm, informative, and above all, deeply invested in Vinny’s recovery. When complications arose and Vinny needed a second surgery to pump his stomach due to a blockage, Alex was right there, communicating regularly and making sure we understood every detail. It never felt like we were just another case to him—Vinny mattered, and we felt that deeply. As bulldog parents, we were already bundles of nerves knowing the risks the breed faces under anaesthesia. Vinny had to go under twice, and both times, the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. But what touched us most was the way every single staff member treated Vinny. He’s the softest, most gentle soul you’ll ever meet, and it was so comforting to know that he was being loved and doted on like one of their own. We truly believe his recovery was in part thanks to the warm, positive energy he received from everyone there. Despite the pokes, prods, and probably a great deal of confusion, he was genuinely excited to go back—and that said everything to us. Thank you to Alex and the entire team for not only saving Vinny but for treating him with so much love. You didn’t just care for our dog; you cared for us through one of the scariest experiences of our lives. We are TRULY forever grateful.
