What an amazing team. I found a lump on my cat’s tail, called for an appointment the lovely young lady on reception fit us in that evening was very helpful and courteous throughout. Upon arrival we had a very short wait, the lady Vet (so sorry I didn’t catch her name) was very understanding/patient/caring with our little fur baby. She put him at ease, gave him a very thorough check up and sorted the little lump that had been worrying us so much. Fortunately it turned out to be nothing to be concerned about. This Lady was amazing, we really can’t Thank her enough. It’s really nice to see a Veterinarian surgery that genuinely love animals and do go above and beyond in the Pet parents hour of need. Thank you so much. Kylo thanks you too. I highly recommend. If you have any problems/concerns with your fur babies don’t hesitate go to Cheshire pet medical.

We have our two cats registered at the Winterley Vets. Every time we go everything is explained well, options are given without pressure to follow the advice which can be difficult due to costs. Eleanor is so approachable and caring to us and our cats. We feel very fortunate to have this practice looking after us!

I would never go to another vets unless for some reason they couldn't care for my pet e.g. an exotic and even then I'd simply use the Cheshire pet sites that have exotic vets. They saved our pet dogs so many times but also never prolonged unnecessary suffering. They were when we attended a greyhound safe vets and I'd recommend anyone take their pet here. My experience so far with my cat has also been incredible.

My cat had treatment here for a Urinary Infection and also needed some dental work. All the staff here including the vets, nurses, and receptionists were so kind and caring and looked after my cat so well. Everything that needed doing was explained clearly. It was a stressful period for my cat but all the staff at Cheshire Pet took such good care of her and she is now back to her normal happy self.. a massive thanks to everyone at Cheshire Pet :)

I very rarely give a negative review to any business but unfortunately I have to give a negative review to Cheshire Pet Winterley because we had a traumatizing experience with them. Unfortunately, our dog had a lump and we had a couple of visits to the Cheshire Pet. Across our visits we had met 4 vets, majority of them are inexperienced. One vet suggested a completely wrong investigation, confirmed by her other colleague that it was a wrong suggestion. Their answers to our questions were always wishy-washy. To cut the story short, our dog had the lump taken out. 7 days later, her wound opened up and started seeping blood and fluid. We went to them immediately only to be dismissed that it would sort itself out. Blood and fluids were oozing from the wound at that point and no measures were done to address the wound breakdown. Our poor dog suffered the whole weekend. Two days later, on Monday, our dog was still in the same situation, we brought her back to them and we're told that the only option to her was to euthanize her! How come they dismissed our concern and then told us two days later that euthanasia was the only option!! I come from medical background, I challenged the vet regarding her clinical decision, instead of answering my questions, she tried to guild trip me and pushed the euthanasia option. I have a clear understanding of what has happened. It was a post-op wound complication. If someone does a procedure, they should have the competency to deal with the complications, if they don't, they should refer to appropriate specialist services. None of this has happened. Our dog bled a lot that night, we ended up going to an emergency vet hospital in Manchester at 2 am in the middle of the night. Thankfully, we met with a very skilled specialist and a very dedicated team in Manchester. We could see the huge difference in the care. After very physically and emotionally challenging couples of weeks for our poor dog and us, our dog's wound has healed and she is still with us. I give my one star review on the grounds of not being able to appreciate their own limitations and shortcomings, not being able to do timely referral, being dismissive and not having the professional attitude of accepting the responsibility when things go wrong (we do appreciate things can go wrong but it was the attitude and the way things were handled). We regret that we have registered with them in the first place!

Wonderful friendly place for our new pup, however we did feel that a costly test was pushed on us that was not really needed had we waited just 24 hours. We also felt as though the vet herself was taking the opportunity of our first visit to sell their health club, pet insurance and products instead of prioritising expert pet health care. Otherwise, very lovely place, great parking and large clean waiting area with blankets & bowls of water for dogs.
