I was very happy with the vets; today. Right from the booking through to the payment. Staff very polite and friendly. Vet explained everything to me and looked after my dog, Rocco, very well. I would fully recommend this practice to everyone

We went for a simple check up on our 10-year-old springer spaniel. The staff were exceptional from reception through to The vet which we had not booked, but he sorted out one or two administrative issues cannot recommend this practice high enough

Just wanted to say thank to Cotswold Vets, especially Ruth for the amazing care and treatment of our lovely little cat. Very sadly, she lost her battle today. Ruth has been so caring and supportive throughout this difficult time, for which we thank you. We are new customers to Cotswold Vets and have found the whole experience with them to be very kind and supportive. All staff are very caring and friendly. Thank you, we are so glad we made the change.

I’ve been taking my cat to this practice for sometime now, thinking they were really good, no cause to write this review. Recently after my cat had some teeth removed, I took him back for a check up because he was gagging, we found that on the roof of his mouth a small red spot appeared, but they were unsure of the cause. He was put on antibiotics and pain killers, with regular check ups. However, I was finding that he was still gagging. I took him back several times and then I was informed the best solution was to remove all of teeth. Whilst he was under, they took a biopsy and two other tests. The other tests came back negative. The biopsy was not sent off and kept at the practice to see how he responded to having his teeth out. He improved with the antibiotics for a short time, the decision was made to check him in another week or so. In that time he went downhill very quickly as soon as he stopped taking the antibiotics, he was still gagging, so I made an urgent appointment, to then be told he’s got a tumour in the roof of his mouth and the best thing for him is to put him to sleep. He was a beautiful boy, healthy, so you can imagine the shock I went through. Since that day I’ve been exchanging emails with Ben debating the process that was taken. They were not sure what the cause was, so why wasn’t I advised to take a biopsy first, and know the results before any further treatment was taken? The biopsy would have shown if it was cancerous, or not, then I could have prepared myself for this, if it came back negative, then I could have made the decision to take out his teeth. I wasn’t given this opportunity! I refused to pay £200 for the cremation fees as I was so upset with the loss of my beautiful boy! Ben phoned me, and tried to explain, I was driving, very upset, he continued to talk for 40 minutes. He’s now emailed me, demanding payment or he’s going to get the debt collectors involved. This isn’t what I call good practice for someone who is still grieving. I’m now having to go through a legal battle over £200. Would you trust you animal with this vet, I have a beautiful kitten that I introduced to the family, but that was short lived. I will be taking her to another vet. 😞🥲 my beautiful boy just before he was put to sleep.

We registered with Cotswold Vets a couple of years ago after losing confidence with a different vet. I’m so glad we did, these guys are all so kind, helpful and so experienced. Both our dogs are adopted and neither have any issue going to see the doctor. They know they gets treats and love. Our older dog Ted has recently had two large operations with Ben. He treats Ted like his own and his knowledge and care is wonderful. Thank you, you’re all awesome. Sally, Mark, Ted & Reggie 🐾
