I’ve been with County from the very beginning with my horses and now dogs. From catastrophic injuries, foaling, geldings, teeth taken out, a mystery illness in one of my ponies,I don’t think there is much the girls haven’t been there for me and my horses over the years. Always on time, friendly, anyone new is introduced, the girls on reception are amazing and have been especially great with me this year when I’d double booked a castration for my dog and wolf teeth for a horse, same day,one at Ayr,one at Maybole and my lights went on my horse trailer. What was already a stressful day was made even more, but it was soon sorted, date changed for the horse to suit my next day off work, it wasn’t a bother and a huge relief. Can’t praise them enough.

Very disappointed that they would not see a sick chicken because I stayed in Barrhead apparently to far and just kept saying we are not a chicken specialist but they have more experience than any vet local to me, I even said you are willing to have the chicken die rather than see it which apparently they were, got a lovely vet in Cumbernauld even farther away but that wasn’t a problem as the chicken was sick and needed to see a vet, that’s the correct attitude Country vet Gillian practice manager you should be ashamed

Am sorry but to spend 2 mins with our pet in here, a quick meds jag and the bill was just over £43. £38 was just to get our pet seen to. Its so unfair and for places to charge like this makes people stay away and makes our beloved pets suffer because its a bill that should not happen. Looking at £19 a minute !!!. Awful

I don’t usually write reviews but i feel like this is a must. County vets are the most caring, courteous and understanding vets i have EVER came across. My dog has several issues, between skin problems, severe allergies, eye issues, and in all honesty just absolutely prone to problems. He has a large medical history and every single time county vets have been absolutely brilliant to accommodate him even if we have been on a budget, they take that into consideration. He has recently went in for surgery to remove 2 different types of tumours. county vets were able to accommodate him within the week and we had expressed our anxiety about the surgery and they reassured us every step of the way. Cyrus now seems to be very well known in the clinic by all the staff who dote on him and you’d think he would be nervous to go for his appointments due to the amount of times he’s in but every time he is always so excited and desperate to go in and greet the staff which is such a green flag for us! I recommend this vet’s clinic to anyone and everyone i know. Thank you County Vets Ayr for everything and with dealing with us anxious owners! HIGHLY recommend.
