Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with this practice. I found both the reception and veterinary staff to be unprofessional and lacking compassion. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice to others, even in urgent circumstances

Had to say goodbye to my dear old dog Annie today. She was very old and had had a good life but I was still very sad. I was comforted though by the care and compassion shown by Ddole Road vets as we said goodbye.

Had to write and sing the praises of this place. I've lived everywhere, and this is the best vets practice I've been to in the UK or abroad. Everyone that works there seems to care deeply for the animals and owners. Not one member there is a jobs worth. They ALL give 1000%. The receptionists are extremely sweet and professional, they calm you and your pets as soon as you walk through the door, and there's nothing they won't do to make things run smoothly for all concerned. And the vets go above and beyond for you. You feel like you and your pets are being treated by family! I had a seriously bad few weeks recently, as both my car and phone went down, at the same time that my dog got sick. So had to discuss my dog via email as no where near the vets. Mel, the vet who helped me sent/answered many emails for us. She looked at videos of my dogs episodes and sent me tons of helpful information. What I also liked, was that my dog has an odd affliction that isn't very well known/studied. Certain drugs are recommended for it, but honestly, no one in the world knows that much about her illness. Mel explained that my dog could actually live a long life without the drugs, that this is just something vets everywhere are recommended to give, they also suggest diet changes, which we did for the 6 weeks before. Other vets I've delt with in the past I KNOW would have just taken the money, and not explained any of this to me. But Mel was honest, and explained that I didn't need to spend if I couldn't. No vets have ever worried about my money in the past. She also looked into delivering my medication which I offered to pay extra for, but luckily I was able to borrow a vehicle to get my dog in for another check up and to collect the tablets. Still though, she worked around every problem, when she didn't have to. I can't imagine any other vets putting in all the time and effort that she did. She clearly loves the animals she tends to, and gives her utmost to all customers. You will definitely be treated with fairness with these guys. Highly professional and super lovely people. My dog isn't even scared going in there and she's very nervous typically. But then animals sense when a place/people are good. These guys are top notch. πππ In the past, I've always had rude receptionists and vets that only seem to think of the cash, but these guys are the polar opposite of any other vets I've visited. Fantastic in every way!!! Thank you Mel and the team. I will never go to another vets! Awesome service! πππππππππππππππππππβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ¨οΈβ¨οΈβ¨οΈβ¨οΈβ¨οΈπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎπΎ

So, sooooo glad I found this practice. All staff members were warm, welcoming, professional, efficient and kind. I felt like everyone I spoke with deeply cared for the animals around them, that this certainly wasn't just a "money gig" to them. Receptionists were so sweet, and the lady vet that helped my little one was fabulous. My dog is extremely nervous and I suffer with CPTSD myself, so was dreading this visit, but staff were extremely gentle with my little girl and very reassuring to me. I couldn't believe the amount that was done for such a low price, and I left feeling far more confident that my little one would be OK, after all of her tests came back. Staff gave us an action plan and reading material, I'll be following up with them in a few weeks. I will not hesitate to bring all of my pets here in future. 100 stars for these guys, you're definitely in safe hands with them.
