Really professional but also very friendly. Didn’t feel rushed and staff all very friendly. Thoroughly checked my dog and went through what it could be and the treatment . Got an answer later that night and picking up the medication . Very quick and impressive. Total confidence in all the staff especially Ms Trotter , who is always so helpful and friendly . Very happy .

"A very distressing and repetitive experience at the Penicuik branch. I have been a loyal client of this group for a long time and have always received compassionate care at their other branches, but my experiences at Penicuik have been very different. This is the second time I have faced the same pressure at this specific location. They used the same tactic with my mother cat before, and last night they did it again with her 5-week-old kitten, Leo. I was given three options: pay an estimate of around £3,000, sign the kitten over to the clinic (surrender), or have him euthanised immediately. I have translated records from the past showing this exact same 'ownership or euthanasia' ultimatum. I decided to take Leo home instead, and to my relief, he was playing and happy within hours! Even though they reported me to the RSPCA, the officer who visited my home confirmed that Leo is healthy, happy, and doing great. There were also significant errors in the paperwork; they used my 2-year-old cat’s name (Angelina) for my 5-week-old kitten and only corrected it with a pen after I pointed it out. While I highly recommend their other branches, I suggest avoiding the Penicuik location if you are looking for compassionate and attentive care."

They don't think about pet. They put money as a first. Please use a different Vet, because if you will have a real problem with you love pet you be left alone unless you have a lot of money that you have to pay first before they help your pet. Even if you have insurance.

Booked an appointment online for my puppy who had eaten rubbish and was off her food. Received a call minutes later, suggesting I bring her in that day to be on the safe side. Very impressed! All sorted now.

A great practice, accessible and open for your needs. As a customer with a plan, they provide incredible service that you often need and rely upon as a pet owner. We recently moved from using Gordon's in Musselburgh to Penicuik and the reception and service we've received has been top tier (on both fronts). Highly recommended - professional, friendly, accommodating, informative and efficient. While I give 5 stars, Arlo gives 5 Paws, thanks from us both.
