This is a convenient practice: local, good opening hours, and I've usually been able to get appointments when needed. Some of the vets have been excellent, and I really appreciated their caring, knowledgeable approach. Unfortunately, others have been the complete opposite. One incident in particular was unacceptable. I overheard staff in the back shouting and complaining that my cat's blood and pus had got on them while treating him for a burst abscess. When he was returned, the vet described him as "very naughty" when in reality he was in significant pain. I submitted a complaint and received a delayed, generic apology, but it did little to address the experience. My main issue with this practice is the corporate culture. Everything feels driven by money rather than patient care. I repeatedly had to ask for itemised costs due to a lack of transparency and consistency. I received bills that didn't match for the same medication, and on one occasion was quoted one price by the vet for a consultation and lab tests, only to later be told by reception and the manager that the actual cost was around £200 higher. The explanations never felt clear or credible. The heavy reliance on locum vets also results in inconsistent advice and continuity of care. There are often trainees involved, yet appointments are charged at the same rate. The final straw was a dental procedure I booked for my cat. The appointment was cancelled the day before and had to be rescheduled. A few days before the new date, the time was changed, which I accepted. Then, on the day, I received a call 20 minutes before the appointment which I missed. No voicemail or text was left, despite that being their usual method of communication. I called back but couldn't get through. When I arrived with my already anxious cat, who had been starved in preparation for the procedure, I was told to wait because the manager wanted to speak to me. I asked what about, but was told I had to wait for the manager. After waiting beyond my appointment time, I was informed the manager had gone into a meeting. I asked again what it is about, as if it was to simply cancel the appointment, as I suspected, I wasn't going to sit indefinitely on a working day with an anxious cat. I was still told they couldn't tell me and that they didn't know how long the meeting would be. At that point it was clear that my time, and my cat's welfare, were not important to them. I cancelled the procedure and left. The most telling part: nobody from the practice ever contacted me to apologise or explain what had happened, which I could never understand in this line of business. I will be taking my four animals elsewhere, to a practice that genuinely puts patients and owners first.

Brought our little cavapoochon for his booster jab yesterday. He’s a little livewire but the vet and receptionist were absolutely amazing with him. The vet was so patient and gave us so much advice. We didn’t feel rushed and she answered every question I had and gave lots of reassurance. Ralph is one, very happy annd lively and they doted on him and he was treated like their own. Thank you so much team, for all your advice ❤️

Not been with the long as puppy is only 15 weeks old but every time we’ve been they have been so welcoming and have answers to every question you have to ask not only that we was in grid lock traffic when taking puppy for his second injection and without a problem the rescheduled it to the next day as we wouldn’t have made it at all that night… I wish I would have used these in the past with my previous dog

I can’t thank the wonderful vets here enough. They have been absolutely amazing and I am so grateful how fast they were able to see my dog Lila. They were very patient with us and offered loads of advice and support to our questions. Such a sad ending for my dog but you were truly amazing with her and us as a family, the staff really are a credit. 💔

Been taking my 10 year old dog here for a while now and have always been happy with the service until today. I took my dog in multiple times suspecting some sort of gum/tooth infection but after a few visits the vets said was it was just some plaque, so I tried everything recommended but the bad breath was still there. So I decided to try a different vet to be told by them that it is an gum/tooth infection that has clearly been here a while, I now have the right medication to try but since it hasn't been aware to me quick enough there is now chance that he needs surgery to get his teeth removed. Really not something you would expect from such a highly rated place.
