I cannot recommend Medivet 24 Hour Watford highly enough. My kitten, Rocky, was seen by Dr Annika Junghans, and I am incredibly grateful for the care, professionalism and compassion we received. From the moment we arrived, the team was kind, attentive and reassuring during a very stressful time. Rocky had a high temperature and was feeling very unwell. Thanks to Dr Annika’s prompt treatment and advice, he started improving quickly. After only two doses of antibiotics, his temperature returned to normal, and he became much brighter and more active. He is now eating well, playing with his brothers and sisters, and behaving like his happy self again. It is clear that the staff genuinely care about the animals they treat and their owners. Thank you to Dr Annika Junghans and the entire Medivet 24 Hour Watford team for the exceptional care you provided to Rocky. Diana Popova Diana Crown Cattery

It was an emergency for my pregnant Westie, with a puppy stuck in the birth canal. I will avoid using their services again, as I felt judged by the staff as a new dog breeder, without them knowing anything about me or the lovely life we offer my little girl. She is family to us, and we do not use and abuse her! The doctor told me sharply (twice) that if I cannot afford to pay what they asked for a surgery, I shouldn't breed!!! They wanted to charge me nearly £6000 for an emergency C-section on a bank holiday night, and we managed to go to a lovely and considerate vet practice, where I paid £1800. My little gorgeous girl received the best treatment she needed. She is safe now and recovering very well, enjoying her stunning puppies.

We had a freak accident with our dog tonight, I was putting my bag on ready to go on a walk my dog jumped up on me and somehow the clip on my bad got wedged into the web of his feet which he was screaming I thought I’d be able to unclip it, it was lodged so badly that I just could not, we rushed to medi vet Watford in a panic where we met a man which I did not get his name (I wish I did so I could thank him a thousand times over) my dog is reactive to people and he just did not care and got on with helping us, he managed to get the clip out of his foot. Thank you so much to this man and giving him lots of treats once you managed to get the clip out

Rating: 1 star I visited Medivet Watford with my injured cat, Dexter. I want to start by saying that the nurses were absolutely wonderful. They were kind, patient, and very supportive during a stressful situation. They deserve real recognition for how compassionate they were — genuinely 10/10. Unfortunately, my experience with the veterinarian I saw was very different. During the consultation about Dexter’s condition and treatment costs, the way the conversation was handled left me feeling extremely distressed and uncomfortable. I understand that vets must explain medical options and financial realities, but the manner in which it was communicated made me feel pressured and judged at a very vulnerable moment. When I explained that I could not immediately afford the recommended treatment, the discussion quickly moved toward surrendering my cat or euthanasia. The way this was presented felt abrupt and insensitive, and it left me feeling humiliated rather than supported. Pet owners who come to a clinic in an emergency are already under enormous emotional stress. Compassionate communication is incredibly important in those moments. I hope the clinic reviews how these conversations are handled so that other owners facing difficult situations are treated with more empathy and understanding. Again, I want to thank the nursing staff, who were truly kind and professional throughout my visit.

Amazing team. My cat Marcellina was extremely poorly after being trapped in a tree for 10 days. This incredible team literally brought her back to life after two weeks of intensive care. We’ve been with Medivet Watford for nearly 10 years and they have never let us down. Dr Andrea and the whole team showed so much dedication and care. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did for Marcellina. Thank you for giving her a second chance.

I went out of hours and am incredibly grateful for their skill and care. Goodness know what caused this damage! Our best guess: she caught herself on some glass.

Good place! They helped my cat Lily with her anal problem. The poor animal suffered a lot, but the staff took great care of her. Now she can go to the toilet normally again and enjoy her life. The price was reasonable, and all follow-up visits were free of charge. I’m very grateful for their help.

Fantastic team, thank you so much for taking care of our labrador! All the staff were very friendly, patient and understanding. It was easy to book an emergency appointment. The vets kept us informed about our lab's condition and procedures, and happy that we had updates on how she was doing when she was staying overnight.

Disappointed that I wasn't informed you don't usually deal with exotic pets when I called about one of our rats who needed to be seen and needed urgent care. Surprised seeing that this is a 24hr care branch too. Usually go to the Radlett branch but they had no appointments until later in the week and our sweet boy needed to be seen sooner. The vet was lovely though, but she couldn't really advise or help. She did manage to get us an appointment sooner at the Radlett branch and didn't charge for our appointment seeing as though she couldn't help. I hope you perhaps look into hiring a vet who has knowledge of exotic pets soon.
