We’ve had a variety of issues with both of our dogs over the past couple of months, but can’t praise the staff highly enough for their professionalism and support they have given both our pets and ourselves. Shout out to Jordan, Rachael, Heidi, Jasmine, Lily and the insurance girls ❤️

This is not regarding treatment from the vets it's from ladies at reception I picked up my cat squeaks ashes on Friday 22nd May she was 16 years old I lost her in such a horrible traumatic way so picking up her ashes was a big deal for me,upon arriving there was no parking spaces left only one my legs had by then turned to jelly I was crying & unable to attempt to park in the small space I new I would be in and out so went in to pick her up a woman shouted who's car is parked out the front even tho they new it was me I had just walked in I went on to explain I'm here to pick my cats ashes up and I suddenly couldn't drive explaining my legs turning to jelly as was collecting squeak,I was shouted at again that no one could get out ,I couldn't even walk properly by then I was so upset but moved it I wasn't listened to no remorse no empathy ,I practically got a hand in my face when I came in again and went to speak to reception and older lady very rude she said shhhh cos they was busy I only wanted to double check they new I was here to get squeak .Someone then came out handing her to me like I was at an Amazon parcel pick up point not even a sorry for your loss Absolutely nothing said to me I left in disbelief....it took me 2 days to cry after this experience they blocked something in me these woman I will never get that back again they either need training in how to be compassionate as they work in a vet where people lose animals or they need sacking horrible horrible experience she's home now my poor baby ,I called this morning to report this and again got a really crap experience from the receptionist I'm yet to talk to a manager 😭😭😭😭❤️

During what was an extremely distressing situation, I found Jan’s communication to be lacking in empathy and professionalism. I was spoken to in a way that felt dismissive, short, and irritated, and I was made to feel as though I was the issue rather than being supported as an owner dealing with an injured dog. In particular, I was told not to be angry with the people I had trusted to take care of him. I found this comment inappropriate, unprofessional, and outside the scope of veterinary care. I would have expected compassionate and supportive communication in that moment. I was also told that the faecal matter in Elvis’s coat could not be washed out and that shaving was the only option, despite this having only occurred the day before. This did not reflect the condition or timeframe and has left me questioning whether less invasive options were appropriately considered. In addition, I was told that approximately 3cm had been shaved. However, the extent of the shaving covered his back legs and rear, which did not reflect what had been communicated to me. This lack of clarity and accuracy has caused further concern. When I asked for clarification at the time, I was told “I can’t tell you that”. As Elvis’s owner, I found this lack of transparency unacceptable. I expect to be given clear and accurate information regarding any treatment carried out. Overall, the experience left me feeling unsupported and concerned about both the standard of communication and the judgement demonstrated during the consultation. I would appreciate this being formally reviewed and would like reassurance that both client communication and clinical decision-making are handled with appropriate care, professionalism, and transparency.

Had to take our dog for an out of hours appointment, due to him vomiting badly, phoned our own vets (Heath & reach) and were then directed to this practice after being informed that the consultation would cost £350.00!!, we agreed to this exorbitant fee because we had no other option excepting not seeing a vet at all. Went in for the consultation, and our dog is not keen on the vets, so knowing this we had him muzzled and I held him tightly, the "vet" clearly didnt want to approach the dog at all, and after much indecision managed to take his temp. She then gave us about 6 possible causes for his vomiting, and then tried to up sell us jabs for anti sickness and pain relief. So the fee worked out to approx £35.00 per minute. This is extortion via compassion.

On Saturday we had to take our little cat, Florence, to be put to sleep. The kindness and compassion from the whole team at Walnut Tree Vets was outstanding. We would like to give a special mention to Laura, the vet, who explained everything to us and gave us time to say goodbye. She made a very difficult time more bearable with her kindness, empathy and compassion. We cannot thank her enough.

Had a check-up appointment booked for a cat after an £1000 op. Agreed short time off boss as would only need 30mins. Was left waiting for 30mins upon arrival without seeing anyone. When I spoke to the receptionist they were happy to cancel the appt. without finding out when I would be seen. Guess what, I am not using these time wasters again. What really wrankled was people were coming in with their pets and being seen within 2mins of arriving. Who did I upset!

We popped over to the Walnut Tree branch today because our furbaby, Roxy, got spayed. What a brilliant experience from start to finish. The team explained everything in detail, and when we picked her up, Claire was fantastic at explaining to my little ones how to take care of Roxy. Roxy's chuffed to be back home, and she was certainly well looked after.

When you have a poorly animal you want reassurance and that is what we got with our poorly cat. He was seen the same day blood test results came through in hours and he was treated and is not back to his happy hunting self. Couldn't recommend this veterinary practice more.
