I cannot thank Emma enough for the care and compassion she showed both my pet and me during one of the hardest days I've ever faced. From the moment I walked through the doors, Emma was kind, patient, and informative. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel confident that Annabelle was receiving the very best care possible. When I left Annabelle at the practice, I did so knowing she would be well looked after. What stood out most, however, was how Emma handled the heartbreaking decision to end Annabelle's suffering. It never felt like a conversation with a stranger or a vet who had only met us the day before. It felt like talking to a friend who also happened to have the professional knowledge and experience to guide me through an impossible situation. Even as Annabelle's condition deteriorated, Emma continued to consider every option and every possibility, ensuring that no decision was made lightly. Throughout the process, she explained every step of what she was doing and why. In a moment when everything felt overwhelming, that kindness and communication meant more than I can put into words. Because Annabelle declined so suddenly, I didn't have my family with me and had to face it alone. Emma recognised that and made sure I didn't feel abandoned during those final moments. Even after Annabelle had passed, she showed such thoughtfulness and compassion. Rather than leaving me heartbroken in reception waiting to pay, she took care of everything herself in the consultation room, allowing me the privacy and dignity I desperately needed. Losing Annabelle was devastating, but Emma's kindness, empathy, and professionalism made an unbearable situation just a little easier to carry. I will never forget the care she showed us, and I will always be grateful for the compassion she gave both Annabelle and me.

the oak have been looking after my dogs for maybe 15 years if not more. They have always been extremely obliging, my previous dog did not like any body or any other animal and they were quite happy to attend to him in the car park they always went out of their way to be as helpful as possible, all the staff are wonderfully helpful, polite, cheerful but also sympathetic and understanding when required. very happy to have the oak attending to and looking after my dog.

I cannot thank the team enough for the outstanding care and compassion shown to my dog, Cassie. When I discovered she was bleeding, I was extremely worried. Although there were no appointments available online, I called the practice and explained the situation. The receptionist was incredibly kind and reassuring, and asked me to bring Cassie in straight away. The vet was wonderful—she examined Cassie thoroughly and explained clearly that the issue was likely blocked anal glands, possibly with a burst abscess. She treated her immediately and provided medication for us to continue at home. Everything was explained calmly and professionally, which really put my mind at ease during a very stressful time. We were also given a follow-up appointment to check her progress. I’m so grateful for the prompt attention, kindness, and excellent care we received. Thank you all so much. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Can't fault them. Was on holiday with the dog, needed to get her seen, the got me in just before they were meant to close, checked her out, ran so me blood tests in house, mostly after they should have closed. Dog was happy and healthy, and the holiday carried on from r everyone

Definitely the most helpful, friendly, professional vets practice we have ever visited. We Were on holiday and they went above and beyond to help our poorly pooch. All staff from reception to vets and nurses were absolutely amazing and left us feeling so reassured and happy. We Were amazed by the very reasonable cost also. Would highly recommend this vets to anybody local and only wish we lived here as we would not consider using any other vets. Thank you so much for an absolutely outstanding service. No-one likes taking a pet to the vet, least of all my little Jack Russell Nellie. She's very nervous and gets quite stressed. The Oak Haverfordwest are brilliant with her (and me) and tailor the appointment to suit. The Vets, Nurses and Reception staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable and make the trip to the vets a much better experience than expected. Thanks very much to all the staff.

Our cat had his hips operated on and it was a very rare and specific condition. The entire team was amazing. They kept us informed, very understanding, professional and friendly. We knew our little guy was in great hands. He is now running, jumping and getting into all sorts of mischief :)
