Normally there amazing but someone of the women in there need to reel there neck in seriously. Rang today for an emergency for my dog and she’s telling me no and when I asked her for her name she said I don’t have to give u anything this was this morning 8.33 27th may 2026. I will be complaining as now she’s not even doing her job an answering phones now as got 4 people ringing and no one’s answering. Make it make sense.

I have been a loyal supporter and donor at this PDSA branch for a long while and always donate at the desk (including £25 today) because I respect their mission. In the past, they have been great with Daisy’s dental work and have sorted her out a few times, but today was a total betrayal of that trust. The moment the vet found out my cat, Daisy, was 20 years old (initially thinking she was 16), her entire attitude shifted. She immediately pushed for an 'end of life' outcome before the blood results were even back. When I pointed out that many cats live well into their 20s and even 30s, she didn't seem to have a clue and incorrectly claimed they couldn't. It felt like Daisy was being written off purely because of a number on a file. Daisy is a fighter with a huge personality—she is still eating a pouch of food a day. I asked for standard supportive care like appetite stimulant gel (Mirataz), anti-nausea meds, and liver support tablets to help her keep eating, but the vet refused to even discuss them. To make matters worse, when I asked at the desk for a second opinion, the receptionist told me: 'Go to a private vet.' As a long-term donor and supporter, to be told to 'go private' and have my cat’s life dismissed while she is still fighting is heartbreaking. I’ve filed a formal complaint and am waiting for a Senior Vet to review the blood results. All I want is for Daisy to have the medical support she deserves to stay comfortable and keep eating."

Massive thanks to the amazing team at PDSA for the outstanding care they’ve given our cats — twice in the same week. Just four days ago they treated Pudding’s bladder emergency quickly and successfully, and then they were there again when Chilli became critically unwell and needed urgent stabilisation and oxygen support. Both times they acted fast, stayed calm, and showed real professionalism and kindness. We were kept informed throughout, everything was explained clearly, and we never felt brushed aside or rushed. They also showed real awareness and sensitivity around my mental health during the crisis, which meant more than they probably realise. We’re genuinely so grateful for their skill, compassion, and commitment. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Great staff large building number of rooms and vets at work..staff have always been lovely. Parking tight and not many spaces at times. The treatment of the animals is 5 star. The worst aspect is probably some of the pets owners.... always been helped by this place and have nothing but praise.
