Great place, appointment availability for the same day for the exotic vet. Explained very clear and lots of details provided for our leopard gecko being poorly. Pleasant stuff and caring 🙂🤗

We made the very difficult decision of having to put our beloved dog to sleep . I rang the pet vet and they managed to hook us in the same day & explained we could go in a side door & not sit in the waiting room . Which we thought was a lovely idea . On arriving my husband took our boy in & I waited outside , I couldn’t go in as I was heartbroken . The vet asked the various questions of whether he wanted fur , ashes etc & then said they would take him to sedate him , on taking our boy to be prepared they then ask for payment , my husband was shocked and called me . The lady said she’d come to the back door for the transaction . I found this completely heartless & knocked us both as we didn’t expect to pay before anything had happened, we presumed we would be billed and pay over the phone once the grief had settled . We have been with this bet since it opened and have never owed them money . The sign outside ‘we care’ which we found didn’t apply to us

Took our baby kitten of 7 months to have castration and micro chip on Monday 08:30am. Being advised to call around 2pm to collect him. I called at 1pm to get updates and the person who answered advised me that they haven’t started the operation and are observing him , like guys what are you waiting for? I was so furious and worried for his well being as he didn’t eat anything from 9pm previous night due to their advise that he must starve. After that I was told to call back at 4pm to get updates, also I was told that I’m not the first person to complain about such thing, If I’m not the first person to be unhappy then why aren’t you doing something to avoid this in the future ? I have surprisingly got a phone call at 4 pm to let me know that I can collect him when I got there the receptionist was so unhappy and rude. If anyone is reading this please AVOID this place and choose other VETS and please read reviews I should’ve done that but I’ll do that from now on.

we took our kitten here as we were concerned about some breathing problems. the vet requested several rounds of blood and urine samples and kept implying he had a heart condition. after a couple months of weekly visits she requested he be brought in for the day for a sedated x ray and another urine sample. when we turned this down she tried to sell us an expensive diet for a urinary infection that he did not have. every visit was very distressing and expensive (hundreds of pounds weekly). when we tried to give input this was ignored, we didn't feel listened to. it was a very distressing and upsetting time. we have since taken him to another local vet who have confirmed there isn't anything wrong with him. they have been much friendlier, compassionate and reasonably priced. it's a shame as the vet nurses/receptionists at pet vet are so lovely and caring. please do not take your animals here

Vet was very mean to me and made me feel like an awful pet owner. Changed vets now. Shame as girls who work in there are lovely but the vet herself is awfully rude and abrupt. Very expensive

Avoid this vets at all cost!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. If you have a bigger sized dog/puppy who’s a rescue and you need reassurance and support during your visit then this vets is NOT the place to go. They treated my dog awfully, he’s a 4 month old German shepherd rescue (I’d had him two days when I brought him in). They were rude, dismissive and didn’t let him settle. They told us we were incapable of looking after him and as new dog owners this really shook our confidence. We called them in advance before booking our dog in and they reassured us they would give him time to desensitise but when we got there it was whole didn’t story. And worst of all, the treatment we hoped we would have got I saw was given to two dachshund’s the minute we walked out. I will never take one of my animals here again or recommend them to anyone

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! We recently moved to the area and thought that we would take the reviews with a pinch of salt but absolutely steer clear of this place. It's abhorrent that someone so devoid of empathy would choose a profession requiring compassion, a trait she clearly lacks entirely. They do not care about you or their animal. They are literally feeding off people's desperation and love for their animal to make money. £300 to change a wound dressing is actually ludicrous. We went to vets4pets instead and charged £90 and were lovely and compassionate human beings in the process.
