Called the practice with a last minute appointment as my cat had a foot injury although they had no appointments available and were due to close they tried to get me into another local vet and they couldn’t get us in but riverside vets went above and beyond to fit my baby in at last minute was so grateful and the vet and nurses were so helpful and reassuring we have been coming here for nearly 20 yrs and wouldn’t go anywhere else thank you all ❤️

My family have used this vets for years and years for our collies and they have always been great. When my cat stopped eating entirely we discovered at this vets that he had a heart murmur. We did not want to follow up with the reccommended investigations for this but found he was in desperate need of a dental. I was terrified of how much this would cost, but they gave me an estimate and in the end it was cheaper than the estimate :) My cat has returned home following his dental this evening and is already looking so much happier, is eating and they even got all of the matts out of his fur. I can tell he has been very well looked after. They kept him there all day just to make sure he was fine to come home. The staff on the phone were very pleasant and informed also. Thankyou for taking such excellent care of our boy.

I cannot fault this practice and everyone who works at it … and I mean everyone . I have had 11 appointments in the last month - most routine appointments for 7 cats and vaccinations . But also a dental which was amazing but my cat has been a little delicate after her procedure. After a visit to the nominated weekend vet which was also great … today my lovely girl was treated like a princess when she had a further check up. Thank you all so much …. Not just from me but from the tribe too! They are all different personalities and you have respected that brilliantly …

Our black Labrador Murphy has been with the practice since he was 9 weeks old. Whilst we thankfully have not needed to visit frequently, we have over the years - been for a variety of ailments and injuries. The team are always friendly and professional. They remember Murphy and there is always a warm and personal touch. There are times where he has needed to go to another vet’s out of hours or abroad, but we are always much more reassured when Murphy can be seen by the vet who knows him best. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I have used this surgery for over a decade and they had always been fine until I needed them for an emergency. Unfortunately my cat broke her leg and I bought her in to the practice, genuinely believing that they were independent veterinary surgeons who could fix the leg. They charged me a significant amount of money (several hundreds of pounds) for an X-ray only to tell me they couldn't fix the leg and they would have to refer me to another practice. When I went to the other practice, they said they would do their own X-rays (for around £90) and not even look at the ones Riverside vets did (they were confused why I would have to pay for X-rays at Riverside - the leg was hanging off). I also went to another vets who charged me around £80 for a set of X-rays. Riverside also put my cat under general anaesthetic despite this not being needed by the other two vets during follow up visit (general was only needed when she was having procedures carried out). This vet is a corporate machine whose sole aim is to make money from you when you are at your most vulnerable. They are not independently owned like they come across - they are owned by a large chain - Independent Vetcare Ltd. Independent Vetcare Ltd, trading as IVC Evidensia, own 2500 vets over 20 countries. Partially owned by Nestle who is owned by investors who like to make MONEY..... So, if you want to support local business and local people, do not use this firm.

Riverside vets are good. Unfortunately their pricing structure is as many these days ie corporate owned . Their service however is great

All in all, a positive experience, well for me, can't say that about my cat, poor thing had to be neutered. Clean inside and outside, enough parking spots, quiet, quite a few treatment rooms and staff, they were professional, kind, informative and with positive attitude. The only downside is prices, but that's across all such services.
