Cannot rate Sage Vets highly enough! My cat has a life long autoimmune condition that started from 8 months old. He has had two operations and is on an expensive treatment, which is fortunately, covered by my pet insurance. Because he had to have all teeth out at 10 months old, I did not think my insurance would cover this.( Insurance do not cover dental care) After multiple visits, the vet asked if he was insured to which I said yes. She told me that my insurance should cover all the costs because it was a life long condition. The staff went above and beyond to sort out the insurance, as they tried to wheedle their way out of paying. I have taken my other pets to Sage and from the Vets, to the nurses and to the receptionists, I have found nothing but kindness, professionalism and VERY ethical values. Sage Vets is NOT a money grabbing conglomerate vet service. They will source the cheapest treatments wherever they can. I have recommended Sage to many friends who have been extremely happy with their service. THANK YOU!

Terrible vets don’t have a clue what there on about just money hungry all about money they don’t care for your animals nor do they want too I was quoted £1000 to try save my dog but it was very likely she was “gunna die” my dogs been taken to 3 different vets since this one she is now fine and stable and ready to come home with us , the man and woman at sage put my dog on luiquids FIRST they put her canular in WRONG her arm blew up like a balloon she had to have it removed and put in another arm SECOND when they found out we was taking her to a different vets his prices started to get lower and lower 2500 went down to £1300 and the £1000 went down to £800 ? And THIRD OF ALL he then continued to charge us £213 for liquids and a canular a that he put in wrong ? DO NOT GO TO THIS VETS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS JUST WHATS IN YOUR POCKET !!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Prepare for a long review. We made the mistake of choosing this vets in the first place. The only positive I can say is the receptionist (name unknown) was absolutely brilliant in giving us information about our 12 year old dog that had been diagnosed with diabetes she was caring and sympathetic to our situation. The vet however ( Chinese/Asian woman) was absolutely atrocious. Upon first diagnosis of our dog with diabetes she told us absolutely nothing it's not until I asked if we needed to change diet that she said well it's probably best. Extremely patronising especially when we have had no experience with diabetes in our family let alone pets. Long story short 6 months down the line we had blood tests once a month and was told to up the dosage but had no indication on how high her levels were. We were charged a lot of money for the service provided by sage vets. £26 for results over the phone which consisted of can you up the dosage to said amount and the majority of the time we had to ring them. After recommendation from multiple people we changed vets. Best thing we ever did we were told that our dog should have been having blood tests every 2 weeks not every month. We were told her blood glucose is nearly correct now. We were told she should have had a glucose curve review (never heard of it from sage) our dog in 5 months had lost 1/2 stone and we were told she needed a ultrasound but didn't tell us what for. Turns out it is not necessary at all. We were concerned about our dogs hair loss the vet at sage as stated above told us it was down to hot weather. (Our dog is a non malting dog) .Never in my life have I heard such a stupid comment. The vet at sage told us that she needed a biopsy on a lump she has had for 8 years...my dog is 12 years old how ridiculous to request to put her under anaesthetic. She was pushing for it to happen and when we said no she wasn't impressed and made us feel to be bad owners. After all this time we wasted and over charging the vets are clearly working on commission. After having loads of pets and only 1 dog I have never in my life experienced such appalling treatment to animals upon diagnosing and treating conditions. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Thank you to the staff and Vets at Sage Vets Low Moor who visited me this morning after my Felix who was taken very poorly in the early hours. He was suddenly paralysed in his back legs and was screaming in pain Sadly he was euthanized but he was 14 years old and had a good life. The young ladies were very kind and thoughtfully did a good job. He passed quickly and looked at peace.
