Amazing service. Everyone was so lovely and knowledgeable. Athena in particular kept us updated at every step. I felt very confident in the care they provided to our very injured cat - who is thankfully still here to tell the tale 🐈⬛

It’s well known my little wire-haired dachshund Liesel is a little miracle thanks to SCVS and their wonderful recovery treatment and care for her. Recently a little skin problem arose and following an ultrasound to check the source, luckily not caused by the plate inserted during her original surgery, recovery was quick. SCVS are trustworthy and provide an amazing reliable service and would highly recommend them to anyone.

SCVS overall is in a World Class category 5 star specialist vets Hospital. In our opinion must be the best along the South Coast of UK We thank you for providing such excellent care with our dog Chester who came with complex spinal and disc problem we were so worried about - following his incident while out walking. On our vets referral and from the moment we entered the Hospital, everyone we met was kind, compassionate, caring - truly outstanding and gave us such reassurance. It is the dedication, thorough diagnosis, thoughtful pre-op aesthetic preparation, followed with outstanding surgery skills. Then followed with planning and starting with such carefully throughout physio after care for us to continue at home. All the while the nursing care for Chester was outstanding giving him love and cuddles he wanted and needed. This to be followed with explanation to the finance side of the time at hospital - helping us understand process. We are so grateful for everything our dog was and still is being given in aftercare. This has allowed Chester to start to make a good recovery.

Where do I even start with this amazing team of people!! Our incredible and very special cat, Lord Gizmo, was taken very suddenly ill, to the extent we didn’t know if he would even survive. We were booked in with Ana (neurologist) for a consultation to investigate Gizmo’s ongoing symptoms. As a result of her findings, an MRI was booked. But during this very short time of waiting (under a week), he deteriorated and developed new symptoms. Within 24hrs after the MRI, he had suffered inflammation on his brain, numerous seizures and as such was in a very poorly state. Thanks to Ana’s quick thinking and requesting him to come ASAP to the practice, she ultimately saved his life. He had a particularly nasty seizure the first night he stayed, but because he was in their care, he was able to get the immediate help that he needed. Had he of experienced this at home, it is unlikely he would’ve survived. Gizmo had just under a week in ICU under observation and being treated by the team. Goodness knows how many times I rang and emailed them, but it was never a problem no matter of the time of day. Understandably we could barely sleep and function normally. Every time something changed whether it was his medication/treatment or his progress, they always updated me and were so proud of him. They send us photos and videos to show us the progress that he had made and how he went from strength to strength despite what he had been through. They showed nothing but empathy, kindness, understanding and were extremely informative at all times. I know they will say it’s their job, but they truly went above and beyond in so, so many ways and we will forever be grateful for saving our Lord Gizmo’s life. Previous vets wanted to give up on him and said there was no hope (didn’t even want to investigate him). Southern counties made it abundantly clear they would never give up and do everything they possibly could, even if the outcome isn’t what anyone wants, they will try everything they can. We will always be thankful for this group of wonderful, talented people. They are beyond an asset to the company and profession. Thank you to you all

For Vinci This past week asked more of us than we expected. Uncertainty sat in the background, constant and heavy - until we met Vinci. Vincenzo, in full. An internal medicine specialist from near Venice, with calm in his voice and precision in his care. Con una calma che rassicura, he never rushed decisions. He explained, listened, and guided - treating Gwen not as a case, but as a life that mattered because she matters to us. What he gave Gwen was expertise and patience. What he gave us was steadiness - honest reassurance, without false comfort, and the feeling that we were not carrying this alone. Tonight, Gwen came home. That single sentence holds the whole week. Our sincere thanks to Vinci, and to the team at Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, for care that balanced science with humanity at exactly the moments it was needed most.

Our new puppy needed a PDA operation when he was 4 months old. We were recommended Southern Counties Practice by the Vet who did his ultrasound scan. We found the whole process of the operation well explained by the Consultant and were very happy to go ahead. Everything went as planned and got our puppy back after a 2 night stay at the clinic. Extremely happy with the outcome and all of the staff and would recommend this clinic ourselves

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, showing genuine concern for my pet’s wellbeing. They went above and beyond to accommodate visits and kept me updated throughout. Lola was facing a 50/50 chance, but thanks to their patience, dedication, and care, she pulled through and made it home. I’m deeply grateful for everything they did. Thank you

Lovely premises and a great experience , our greyhound was referred urgently for a pacemaker fitting , they were able to book her in really quickly, I stayed over locally and was able to visit her after surgery. All the team there were lovely and very empathetic and the communication from them was second to none . Great care all round .
