Very impressed with this veterinary practise. It has a warm and welcoming reception which is very clean. The reception team are friendly and cheerful. The vet I saw was very knowledgable and caring. She handled my poor old cat gently and skilfully. They have a hospital there for overnight stays if necessary. They are significantly cheaper than my previous vet!

So thorough general check up as well as dealing with the abcess he was so kind explained everything and made a plan for Cody’s future . So he couldn’t have done anything better ! Huge thanks . In addition lovely Emma on reception was so nice she went out of her way to mark up medication level and is a great representative for your front desk .Huge thanks Cody is so precious to me and you were safe pair of hands from start to finish !

My puppy needed some care with his eyes. He unfortunately urinated in the reception area, due to other scents. The reception staff cleaned it up without any fuss. I was very embarrassed but they made us feel nothing but welcome. Lizzie the vet was so patient with my puppy during the check up. A wonderful visit.

as a first time cat mum with extreme anxiety, i’m usually the first to sense judgement in my past experience with vets/vet receptionists when i have silly worries, but i can’t express how grateful i am for our first time experience at this practice! not only was our vet (i don’t remember his name unfortunately) amazing and genuinely taking the time to listen to my questions and worries about my boy, but the entire team was just spot on. they made me and my boy feel incredibly comfortable and happy when we left :) (i’m very grateful as my boy is a scary cat)

I’ve been using Spinney Vets for 13 years and would absolutely recommend. I’m always looked after, from the moment I enter reception until the moment I leave, and both of my dogs have been incredibly well cared for when they have needed to be. First class.

I just want to say how deeply grateful I am to the kind and wonderful Michael and liz who helped us with our lovely kitty. We had to say goodbye to her today and Michael was beyond kind. I was in tears but the compassion he showed was just above and beyond in what was without doubt one of the mist difficult moments. The whole staff here have been so lovely vets, receptionists and veterinary nurses I couldn't have asked for better people to be with us during the worst day. So thank you. I would 1000% recommend this vets every single person we have encountered here has been incredible. Just wanted to add we received a card today from the vets and just thank you so much its meant so much to me you're all so wonderful thank you

Terrible communication skill. We have been with them for the past 4 years and today for the first time we had to book an urgent appointment for my dog and they treated her/us like an outcast and did the whole procedure outside of the building this included taking blood wasn’t professional at all and it was done all in the rain and wind they completely didn’t seem remorseful for my dog just isn’t an environment I’d recommend. They didn’t explain anything to us all they did was throw a massive bill into our hands with no proper explanation on what might be going on the whole procedure was rushed.

I am so disappointed with Spinney Vets. I feel they have really let me and my dog down. I was seen in January as my dog had an intermittent limp. She was given pain relief and I was told to rest her for a week and if there was no improvement she would need x-rays. The limping did improve until the beginning of March when it returned. I phoned Spinney Vets and asked for an appointment for an x-ray. I was told someone would phone me back. When I was phoned back I was told I couldn't have an x-ray appointment but would need another consultation. At this consultation the vet questioned why I was back as the plan was to x-ray and I would need to phone to book an appointment. I was provided a quote of £1197 for 2 x-rays on my dogs knee and hip under general anaesthetic, when the original plan was for sedation. I phoned to make the x-ray appointment and was again told someone would call me back. Two days later I phoned again to ask why no-one had called and was told that I would have to wait 2 - 3 weeks before I would be called back and then I would have to wait for an appointment. I found this totally unacceptable and really dont understand why it takes 2 - 3 weeks to return a phone call and make an appointment. I was that disappointed and let down by Spinney Vets i phoned a few other Vets for advise. Mawsley Vets was one i phoned. They gave me a free welcome consultation and my dog was admitted the next day for x-rays. Mawsley Vets charged me £550 for 6 x-rays of both hips and knees and a blood test under sedation. My quote from Spinney vets as mentioned was £1197 for only 2 x-rays and a general anaesthetic. How Spinney Vets feel they can justify £1197 as an acceptable quote is beyond me, and really has proved they are just in it to exploit their customers for money. I would highly recommend Mawsley Vets who are also an independent vets and will not be returning to Spinney Vets or waiting 2- 3 weeks for a phone call!
