We had a difficult experience initially and felt some of our concerns weren’t fully listened to, which was upsetting at the time. However, Maddie and the receptionist were both fantastic throughout. They were kind, professional, reassuring, and really took the time to help. Their support completely changed the experience for us and we’re very grateful for the care and compassion they showed.

I recently visited this clinic and unfortunately the experience didn’t justify the cost. The appointment felt very rushed, with little time taken to properly discuss my pet’s condition or answer questions. When this practice was independent, the service felt far more attentive and personal. Unfortunately that level of care no longer seems to be there.Given the high fees, I expected a more thorough consultation and clearer value for the money spent. While the reception staff were polite, the overall service felt transactional rather than attentive. For the price charged, I would have hoped for more care, explanation, and time with the vet.

When I first joined Stockwood Vets, I was a first-time dog owner and genuinely appreciated how welcoming and friendly the team were. They were gentle with my dog, Runa, and took the time to explain things, which initially gave me a lot of reassurance. On that basis, I joined the Pet Benefits membership for peace of mind. However, after a recent visit, I left feeling quite disappointed not with the care itself, but with the lack of transparency around costs. While the team are very efficient at booking appointments over the phone (which is great), I was not informed in advance that there would be an additional consultation fee on top of the treatment cost. As a first-time dog owner and a paying member, this was unexpected and stressful, especially as I wasn’t prepared for the extra charge. I was happy to pay for the injection my dog needed that was clear and understood but the consultation fee felt like a hidden cost that should have been clearly explained at the point of booking. This lack of upfront information left me having to spend money I genuinely hadn’t budgeted for. In hindsight, I’m now questioning the value of the membership. I feel it would be far more transparent and customer-friendly if the membership included a set number of consultations per year, with additional visits charged only if that allowance is exceeded. The staff themselves remain polite and professional, and my concern is not about their care for animals, but about clear communication and cost transparency, which is especially important for new pet owners. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as clearer pricing upfront would make a big difference to the overall experience.

Once again I've had the most special care from everyone at this practice. My pet has complicated issues but everyone is so determined to do the right thing for her. I'm never made to feel a nuisance even though I have to attend very regularly. Iulia is an amazing vet who is determined to help my dog get the best out of her life. I can't thank her enough. There isn't one member of staff that doesn't deserve praise. Thank you to you all.

Really impressed with the level of care. From booking the appointment through to the visit itself, everything felt calm, organised, and clearly communicated, which made the experience much less stressful. It’s obvious the practice is very well run and that the team genuinely care about both pets and owners.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We couldn’t be happier with the care our Frenchie has received at Stokewood Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Iulia is truly exceptional — supportive, empathetic, and always taking the time to explain Maya’s condition and the steps to resolve it. She prescribed the right medication and gave us great advice that made a real difference. You can tell she genuinely cares, and our k9 companion absolutely loves her! It’s rare to find a vet who combines such professionalism with warmth and compassion. Highly recommended to anyone looking for outstanding veterinary care.

A wonderful practice. When it was discovered that my cat needed surgery this was done promptly and skillfully with good post-op care. I also want to add how kind they were to me as an anxious owner. I was never rushed. There was always time to answer my questions and discuss the treatment. Thank you all very much
