Matthew was very knowledgeable and understanding, spoke of our dog's MSK issues like a physio would, had done his homework prior to the appointment, reviewed the notes from years previous, addressed all our varied questions about different issues with clarity and professionalism. He clearly knows his stuff, and the treatment he prescribed has worked a charm from the get go. Excellent vet, hold onto him, he's a gem.

When I contacted the staff at taverham vets they were very understanding to my pets needs and offered me an appointment the same day. When we saw the vet they thoroughly check our dog and gave us medication he needed. I feel very secure with knowing taverham vets practice will do every thing they can for our dog as they have done so for our cats over the years. I wouldn't want to go to any other practice. P Evans

Thank you for helping me with my major last night. Major had got into a tussle with our other dog and managed to injure his eye. Taveham vets got us in straight away. Gave him 10/10 care. You may have saved his eye.

I found a poor dead cat last week and had to bring it in after hours, when all other vets were closed. They helped me when I needed them. Kind and compassionate staff. Thank you so much 💓

Saw Paula today so she could check over my old girl, yet again another amazing appointment. The time and care is always 100% and always a warm welcome from the lady on reception.

On behalf of Growler the stray black Moggy and myself, I can't tell you much I appreciated the calm and compassion help, advice and treatment we were given by the whole team from the receptionists, to the nurses and a wonderful young vet, named James. Nothing could have been better, except the sad outcome. Every step of the way was so clearly and obviously compassionately explained, right to Growler's last moment. Thank you all, with extra special gratitude to James. You were the best.

I visited today with our poorly cat, he was unwell and lethargic, obviously we were worried about him. From the first phone call to leaving the surgery all members of staff have been comforting and so friendly I have been quite taken back from the exception customer service. I sat and waited for over an hour in the waiting room, listening to the reception team, they all went above and beyond with everyone that visited during that busy time. Keep up the positive team work you are all doing a fantastic job!

Had an appointment with Becca to have my rabbits nails trimmed, one is a rescue and neither of them enjoy being handled. She took so much time and was so calming and patient with them and showed so much compassion and made it an easy experience for us. Never have a bad experience with Taverham Vets and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely shocking. My beloved dog passed away on 20th March. He was euthanised at Taverham vets, having been attending that practice all his life. I returned to the vets later that afternoon to request my bill which I stated that I would return to pay the following day. When I did return the next day, they tried to charge me nearly a hundred pounds more than the bill I had been given, citing that the girl who had generated it had done it in a hurry and therefore incorrectly. This is the last thing you need to be doing the day after losing a much loved part of your family - wrangling over an incorrectly issue bill. It was extremely distressing. The matter was eventually resolved later in the day, and the original bill was honoured "as a gesture of goodwill". It has taken nearly three weeks to have his ashes returned to me, and I have collected them this morning, only to find out that the engraving that I ordered is completely missing from the casket. Multiple calls to Taverham vets went unanswered, and having sat in a queue for almost 15 minutes, I eventually drove back down there to report the problem. There were no receptionists on the phone or serving other people. I have now returned home with no resolution as yet, - the crematorium is in Cambridgeshire. An extremely distressing time for myself and my family has been exacerbated hugely by encountering problems that should never have happened, and have further heightened the grief of losing a loved one.
