Wonderful exotics vet with experienced staff including one of the world’s leading rabbit experts, Madonna (who literally wrote the book on small furry care). She deftly removed a large lump on our elderly rabbit’s leg, making sensible & thoughtful surgery decisions throughout, answering our questions with patience & kindness, & giving us personalised, thorough aftercare. The staff are all so kind, & we often meet student vets learning their trade there, which speaks to the openness & expertise of the vet staff. Animals are priceless, of course, but the rates are also very reasonable.

I am extremely disappointed with the service me and my pet have received from Ark vet. Both of my dogs were registered with this practice for over 8 years, so I expected a far higher level of professionalism and care. One of my dogs has a hernia and requires surgery. As Acres Veterinary Centre is closer to my home and has been recommended to me, I took her there for a second opinion — something that any responsible pet owner should be able to do without being penalised. After considering my options, I decided that I wanted to continue my dog’s treatment with Ark Vet. However, I was then told they would not take my dog back onto their books. This was after they themselves instructed me to have Acres send my dog’s medical records back over to them, which I did. Despite following their instructions exactly, they still refused to re-register her, effectively leaving my dog without a registered vet while she requires surgery. This is completely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of care for the wellbeing of the animal. After 8 years of loyalty to this practice, I find this treatment incredibly unfair and unprofessional. No responsible veterinary practice should be willing to leave an animal without veterinary care simply because the owner sought a second opinion. I also have to mention that one of the female receptionists I dealt with had a very poor attitude throughout this process. She was dismissive, unhelpful, and showed absolutely no empathy for the situation, which made an already stressful experience far worse. Overall, this has been a shocking way to treat a long-standing client and, more importantly, a dog that requires medical treatment. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before registering their pets here and to consider more caring and professional options nearby.

Having tried a few vets since moving to the area, I can easily say Ark vets is by far the best around. The staff are so so friendly and just brilliant with my dog! They aren't judgemental in the slightest and are so easy to talk to and ask for advice. The pricing is fairly reasonable in comparison to other vets too!

Cannot recommend highly enough! We were very nervous when we registered after having bad experiences with other vet practices but everyone is phenomenal. We have seen Madonna and Laura for our chinchillas and Michael with our cat, and they couldn’t have done more for us. All the nurses and reception staff are amazing too, they remember our pets and always chat to us. Can’t believe how reasonable the prices are for the service we receive. Delighted with the service every time we visit and can’t thank the staff enough for being so wonderful with our beloved furry children!

Everyone we've seen at Ark have been amazing, but a special mention has to go to Laura. She's so incredible and gave our Tinsel a new lease of life, always has time to ask as many questions as we need and give Tinsel lots of love. Katherine and her regular acupuncture has really helped Tinsel with her sore back as well. Also taken good care of our cats, foster rabbits and the rest of our bunny gang!

My dog Riley recently came in for phased dental treatment and was cared for very well. I’d like to thank Vet Nurse Shannon for her care with Riley and her explanations of the treatment and follow up with myself. Riley is a very anxious dog and Shannon was amazing with him. I had consistent communication from Shannon and the team, and Riley has made a great recovery. Thanks again!
