Missed a large wound on cats front leg, despite being told had been been checked over, they seem to just have checked one visible wound. Cat had emergency surgery at another vets. Vets Now still charged more than emergency surgery on a Sunday elsewhere.

Brought my dog here out of hours as he was drooling very badly and I thought he had somehow eaten something poisonous while on a walk earlier in the day. Was seen very quickly by a lovely lady vet who checked him all over and give him an anti sickness injection which did solve his issue. My only complaint is that the consultation is so expensive, £325 just for a out of hours consult.

This practice prioritises finance and profit. When they give a quote that equates to a deposit on a 3 bedroom terrace home their greed is transparent. In my opinion (to deter any legal ramifications) they use people's love for their pet to extract huge amounts of money. Maybe they should have a price list so pet owners can dismiss them immediately 🤔

I always assumed that vets chose their vocation because primarily they wanted to care for animals. This practice, however, uses the pet owners affection and love to extort huge sums of cash whilst exhibiting zero empathy. Avoid at all costs. A family member of mine recently had the misfortune of bringing their puppy here and because they couldn't access the requisite finance till the banks opened in the morning. They put the poor pup down. Absolutely disgusting

I can only be grateful for the treatment and assessments given to my very poorly bulldog. He was in a grave condition and carried to the oxygen tent as he was turning blue when we arrived @ 4.30am on a Sunday morning. Everything was explained to me and I was told to return at 11am when he should be able to come home, all being well. The vets changed shifts @ 9am and I was rung at 9.05am to say he needed to be referred to Dickie Whites @ Cambridge. I was shocked that this decision was made after 3 hours and so soon by the next vet, who reassured me it had been a joint decision with the previous vet. I went to collect him to transport him to Cambridge but was delighted when the vet said she’d changed her mind, she’d noticed how unhappy he was in both the oxygen tent and then the cage where they’d set up oxygen for him. She took him outside and he perked up, she then left him to go in and out as he chose and she saw a huge improvement in him, so much so that she considered him well enough to return home and not go onto the specialist. I was truly thankful and knowing that she had personal experience with the breed, I was completely reassured with her assessment. Bulldogs are not an easy breed for a vet so to be in the hands of one with good personal knowledge was an absolute blessing. Boris was still not himself, breathing still a little laboured but his colour was pink, within a day of being back home, by my side, which never likes to leave, he was back to good. We have an idea of what triggered his episode though can’t actually be sure but it was life threatening and I actually thought I was going to lose him at some stages. I am so grateful that he was saved and furthermore that the vet was confident to reassess his condition and change her decision which saved us both a lot of anxiety and me a great deal of money and we’re talking thousands.

From the first call to leaving Vets Now the following morning the staff were truly amazing and could not be more helpful. Holly the Vet listened to what I was saying, even though it could have been a minor gastro issue she happily did bloods and was so quick with a diagnosis and treatment plan which made me feel confident and calm that he was in their capable hands. Holly also called my vet the following morning so that they knew exactly what to expect when I arrived with Squidge. Would give the staff at Witham 10 stars if I could!

Been charged £403 to be given paracetamol after waiting for 3 hours on Christmas Day from 3.30pm to 7pm. My dog needed also an xray, they said at 7pm that the surgery was too busy to take one (they would have if earlier in the day) and that I should have returned in the morning for the xray to pay another £324 of Emergency fees plus treatment ( xray fees) and wait probably the same hours. I cannot believe it. Luckily I have insurance which I hope will cover but this is not right. When I left the waiting room was empty. Very dissatisfied. If I had been told on the phone in advance when I called at 3pm I would have not even bothered. I hope my dog will be ok after being sent home with paracetamol tablets whilst my dog has a 4x4 feet chamois leather cloth stuck in the gut somewhere.

Took my Cavapoo, Maggie to Vets Now as she was having trouble sitting, lying down & moving around. I saw a lady vet (sorry I can't remember her name. Lovely long dark hair). She gave her a thorough examination & was very attentive & gentle. Gave us good clear information on the problem & the medication & clear advice. On ringing the vets the receptionist was very kind, caring & helpful too! Maggie is feeling much better. Thank you!
