Vets for Pets - Taunton

We have only been here for 5 months and everyone is great with my fear reactivate collie

They were so supportive during the passing of our Bella. Very thoughtful staff. They sent us flowers to place on her grave. Amazing. Thank you so much!!!

I have experienced the highest standards of veterinary care and compassion from this Vets4Pets, thank you. They have been so kind, I can highly recommend them.

The waiting area isn't very big and though there are different areas for dogs and cats to wait, they aren't very big or hidden from one another, so I would be mindful if your animal is aggressive. That said, there was no overflow while I was there. The staff were polite, and the vet was knowledgeable and kind. He was able to quickly advise me on information I needed regarding food for my animal that I wasn't aware of, and I was grateful for his expertise. I have only been once, but my experience so far has been pleasant, and I would recommend this vet.

We have been using Vets for Pets for several years for the care of our dog and all has been satisfactory. But recently we have been stung with outrageous fees and I would advise you to be VERY careful before using them. A simple pet passport recently cost £368 (!!!!!!) on top of a £70 charge for a rabies jab,. I am advised this is 4x the usual expected charge and totally unjustifiable to stamp a few pieces of paper for a healthy animal. The reverse service in Italy cost €20. To put this into context, this is more than the return flights for my daughter & boyfriend and our channel tunnel crossing fees added together for a family celebration over Christmas.

Would strongly advise to use a local, independent surgery rather than this big corporation. My poor lab went through hell when she was spayed - twice - both times unsuccessfully. This caused numerous health problems for the rest of her life - she ended up having emergency surgery (at a different practice) which cost over £1k, as well as a lifetime of health complications due to the errors made at this practice. Put your money into a veterinary service who care about your pets and their well-being. I will never set foot in store again after what they did to our girl.

Please, I urge anybody to exercise caution , go to trustpilot and see for yourself the level of care you receive from vets4pets ! My 2yr old dog was treated here at Taunton and sadly he never got to enjoy any more life. Through my own investigations I discovered blood tests I paid for and were documented as service provided were not run at all . This came to light when I needed the results . If you investigate and in anyway substantiate your claims which I have you are basically ignored , the manager will not answer those questions . My heart is broken for my dog but also for the wonderful caring vets around who have to be tarnished with companies such as this . Be wise , look for an independent vet , one with continuity of care. My case will not stop here , I am prepared to fight for justice . Yes it’s daunting against a corporation and they know that but I have stamina . So deeply disappointed Taunton branch , your dealings with my loss has been eye opening and disturbing
