Our dog actually enjoyed her annual check up and booster visit to Merrilaws! Warm, welcoming staff; gentle, friendly, vet; and gravy bones. Also very professional and approachable. We highly recommend.

Spent nearly £1000 on dental work which needed antibiotics on a follow up appointment. They charged me £47.60 for 14 antibiotic pills which from an animal pharmacy cost £11.06. At best that appears to be exploitation when you are trusting them and feel vulnerable for your pet; at worst it would seem to be plain robbery. Why wasn't a tooth problem picked up during the earlier regular health checks? because it apparently has to be done by a vet and so is not included in the health check. From my experience my advice is NEVER buy your medication from them although their prescription charge is prohibitive to make sure it is uneconomic to buy the medication elsewhere and think carefully before you embark on the pet plan because it seems little more than a competewnt owner would recognise in their own dog. It is high time regualtions were introduced to control the unremitting spiraling cost of vetrinary services when we actually have no option. It seems little more now than a cartel between the groups which control vetrinary services in the UK.

Such lovely vets and reception staff. They care, they take time to listen and always make it a positive experience for my dogs. Highly recommend. Also have their own out of hours instead of using Vets Now - as they are horrendous!

First time here. Very friendly and professional staff. We're great with my very shy 8yr old GSD cross. Very recommended. Wheelchair accessible!
