I used to go across town to another Vets, but as my dog got older and needed more treatment I looked locally. Transferring the treatment here the costs actually went down! For a few years I was able to walk to appointments, and my dog enjoyed the visits, and always wanted to visit if we passed nearby. There was a much more family feel than at the previous vets. They helped my Akita cope with old age until at the age of 13 years, when lost a lot of weight and it was clear that his time was up. They dealt with this sensitively, without time pressure and without a big bill. (Significantly less than my experience at a previous vets). We unexpectedly received a personal condolences card a week or so later. When we do get another 4 legged family member, I'll happily return to Abbey Vets Cudworth. I'd be mad to travel further and pay more.

Our cat is now petrified of being in the cat carrier after last visit here where we were the only cat owners in a puppy vaccination session, plus other dogs coming in. Our cat was so terrified he wet himself. No separate slots for dog and cat owners or areas. We now have to deal with a petrified cat whenever we take him to places like the cattery now and he wets himself in fear thinking he's going back to the vets. Will be moving to a different practise after this experience, very poor!

Insensitive to owners and pets. I took my pup here for a castration procedure, I was happy with how booking him in went all very friendly and reassuring. It then came to picking him up after the operation..... Receptionist was rude and not very informative, told me to wait where I stood. I completely understand they have to do this due to covid but she never gave me any information on how my dog was doing or gave me any idea on how long I would be waiting (my appointment was for 5pm) it had already passed this time. 25 minutes I waited listening to my dog cry for me it was heartbreaking and unacceptable ! Payment taken before I even laid eyes on my pet.... no consideration for the owners or pets feelings. The appointments should be staggered to avoid this and to stick with government guidelines, but obviously get as many in and out for the maximum profit is their mind set.... I’ve used this company for years and never had a problem but this one I can’t forgive. I shall be changing to a different vet, I definitely wouldn’t recommend.
