Welcome to Afon Veterinary Centre, a friendly and professional veterinary practice situated in the lovely town of Port Talbot in Neath Port Talbot county, Wales. Afon Veterinary Centre operates from Monday to Friday, opening our doors at 08:30 and closing at 18:00. During these times, our passionate team is readily available to provide our excellent services. As we understand that emergencies can happen, our staff members are always prepared to assist you with any queries you may have. Please note that our practice is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Being a one-stop destination for all pet healthcare needs, Afon Veterinary Centre comprises various departments with highly qualified professionals. Our team of veterinary surgeons consists of partners Mr Delwyn Barker (BVetMed MRCVS), Miss Catherine Costello (MVB MRCVS), Mr Gareth Mulligan (BVSc BSc MRCVS), Dr Katie Ball (BVM&S CertAVP MRCVS), and Dr Kathryn Douglas (BVetMed PgC in Feline Veterinary Studies MRCVS). Together, they bring their wealth of expertise to address and resolve an array of health issues faced by pets.
Our experienced and dedicated veterinary nurses ensure that each pet receives comprehensive care while visiting our practice. Mrs Gemma Edwards (RVN) leads our team of veterinary nurses as the Head Nurse, with the diligent support of Miss Cerys Rees (RVN) and Miss Emma Taylor (RVN).
In addition to our core staff members, Afon Veterinary Centre also employs advanced practitioners who are highly trained in their respective fields. Their expertise allows us to offer specialised services and cater to the unique needs of your pets.
