I was warmly greeted on arrival (which is important). The vet we saw was very kind and took time to understand what symptoms my dog was experiencing. My dog was examined by the vet and then taken to be examined by the team and a senior vet. I was given options for the way forward, all of which I felt most definitely put my dog first. I was very impressed and would feel very confident in recommending their practice.

Dasher, our mini-dachshund, was operated on by Anderson Moores for a ruptured disc some four years ago. Fearing a reappearance of the symptoms a month or so ago, we thought it sensible to return to AM. To our relief a really thorough physical examination resulted in Dasher "being told" to rest and continue his course of painkillers. On both occasions, in 2022 and this year, Dasher was treated promptly, efficiently and sympathetically. We would recommend AM whole heartedly.

I can't recommend them enough! They looked after our dog in a fantastic way! Since the first visit we felt like they will have saved Marmite. The care and the professionalism of every single member of the team we dealt are incredible. We have been updated twice a day and always contacted if something else was needed. They are not cheap but the work the did it is amazing! Grazie!!

We were told amputation was the only option for our rescue dog Forrest’s infected hind leg - she’s a Singapore Special who flew with us from Singapore to be here, already missing part of her paw pad when we rescued her. The infection started after she stepped on something while running. After being referred to Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists, we met Dr Catarina Pennington. She saw that Forrest was still trying to use her leg and chose compassion over the easy route. Instead of amputating, she fought to save it. Just one surgery, followed by 3 months of healing and careful repositioning of the hind leg pad - all guided with patience and expertise. Today, Forrest still has her leg and is back running around her favourite park, relearning how to use it. We are incredibly grateful, not just us, but our families back home in Singapore too. Dr Catarina’s patience, her compassion in every email and face-to-face consultations, her honesty paired with reassurance, and her willingness to try truly meant everything to us. Her compassion and dedication are simply amazing. Thank you will never feel like enough.

We are so grateful to Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists for helping to save our sighthound’s life after a horrific stick accident while chasing deer. It was an incredibly frightening time, but from the moment the accident happened, the emergency care she received from everyone was exceptional. On arrival at the practice, surgeon Kate Holroyd, along with the theatre team, acted with such skill, urgency and compassion. Their expertise meant our girl was able to see another day, and we will never forget that. The nursing team were equally wonderful during her aftercare—gentle, patient, and so kind with her as she recovered. Knowing she was in such caring hands brought us huge comfort during an overwhelming experience. We simply cannot thank the whole AMVS team enough for everything they did for her. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🙏❤️

Amazing treatment, everything from start to finish was explained in detail , options discussed ,surgical procedure, follow up and costs were all covered. My dog had TPOL surgery 3 years ago on one knee at Anderson Moores which was entirely successful , all is looking good for recovery of second procedure of other knee , 2 days ago he came home , he is still in care to ensure the recovery is good , follow up appointments and physiotherapy booked. Would definitely recommend

The team at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Winchester were truly amazing with our dog, Obi. Their compassion, professionalism and expertise shone through from start to finish, and we always felt listened to, supported and genuinely cared for. They treated Obi — and us — with such kindness and respect. We’re so thankful for everything they did and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing exceptional veterinary care.

Leo was referred to Anderson Moores after being hit by a car and breaking both his back legs a year ago. I was told by the initial emergency vets that the chances of survival were slim. I will forever be thankful for the team at Anderson Moores. Two metal plates in his back legs, and a year later you wouldn’t know there was ever anything wrong. Thank you thank you thank you.

Wonderful ! We couldn’t be happier with the treatment our 16 year old Papillon Barney was given after being referred to Anderson Moore specialist. The reception staff were very welcoming and our veterinary surgeon Matthew Oxford was so reassuring and explained everything that was going to happen and came out to let us know that Barney was recovering and doing amazingly well after his surgery. Thank you so much for looking after Barney .
