We’ve just moved out of the area so had to leave Batheaston vets :( They’ve been looking after our two cats for two years, and they’re the best vets I’ve ever had by a mile. Every member of staff we’ve ever met has been utterly charming, helpful, above and beyond. We’re moving a long way and they were unbelievably helpful every step of the way. Thank you everyone at Batheaston vets!! Absolutely brilliant

Corporate greed masquerading as local vets Firstly I have no issue with the pet care or staff at Highcroft, but I have to warn others on the ridiculous costs they are charging, and advise you to go elsewhere. My cat needed his front leg x-rayed after an unknown incident in the house March 2023, for this they quoted £980 at the consultation, even if I had insurance this is criminal! I queried it and was told that’s the price as we have to X-ray the whole leg.. yes just X-rays! I asked another veterinary surgery to quote the same job and was told £350, that is an eye watering £680 less than Highcroft. Highcroft is owned by CVS group, a big corporate, their annual statement makes an interesting read about how owners are willing to spend on their pets etc. Ultimately they are a business making money out of people who love their pets in a cost of living crisis, it’s not surprising that families are having to give up beloved pets when corporates like this can think of a number and triple it for vet fees .. I’ve moved both my cats from here and would advise anyone worried about rising costs to do the same. @Highcroft Re your reply below, I cannot respond apart from to edit here, my response is that you’ve already had two opportunities when I initially spoke to the vet and queried the X-ray costs and when I came in to pay the consultation bill. Interestingly now that I have made my experience public you have the desire to discuss my feedback on your fees, a bit late don’t you think?

Sara has been amazing - she spent the time to talk me through everything, all the options, the time to explain so I understood, I wasn't rushed, I felt listened too and well care for by her and the lovely vet nurse. Really appreciate everything they have both been doing and will continue coming knowing that my dog and myself are clearly well cared for because Sara cares.

A very good little veterinary clinic. We have used the practice for a couple of years for our pet dog. They do our tick and worming schedule and annual health check with innoculations. They also recently performed some skillfull surgery removing a tumor. We were very impressed with the vet and her team. Super result. Thank you

Very rude vet. Due to the current situation our puppy had to go in the vets on his own without us. He was clearly worried about being taken away and the vet carried on pulling him repeatedly without any encouragement. She then came out and said our puppy had behaviour issues without acknowledging that he's young and was distressed. He's the most loving, people person dog in any other situation, he was just scared. We have let the vets know that we are leaving them, however they didn't seem to care. We're very experienced with dogs and never seen this kind of service before. Avoid!

Our cat was injured by a car and the vet saw us straight away and was very professional. She checked him over and reassured us that he was not seriously hurt. I hasten to add that we are new to the area so not one of their regular customers. Highly recommend.
