Welcome to Birch Veterinary Centre, a state-of-the-art veterinary practice located in the tranquil town of Prenton in Merseyside, England. With a team of highly experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses, we are committed to providing exceptional care and treatment for our four-legged friends.

Our goal is to ensure that all animals receive the highest quality of veterinary care in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our team is passionate about animal welfare, and we strive to create a warm and caring atmosphere where both pets and their owners feel comfortable.

At Birch Veterinary Centre, we understand the importance of convenient access to veterinary care when it is needed most. Our clinic is open seven days a week, with varying hours of availability to accommodate your busy schedule. Our practice operates from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm, and on weekends, we are open on Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Sunday. Our clients can rest assured that their pets are always in safe hands, as our team is available 24 hours a day to provide emergency care.

Our practice is home to a team of dedicated and qualified veterinary surgeons and nurses, each with their own areas of expertise. Our veterinary surgeons include Mrs Amelia Shanklin, Mrs Sarah Shepherd, and Mr Thomas Shepherd, who are all Directors of the practice, and have experience in a broad range of species and topics such as Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia and Pain Management. Alongside them we have Miss Eliza Hajdas, who has a keen interest in Exotics and Mr Ion Morosanu, a talented general practitioner who joined our team last year.

Our nursing team is led by the highly skilled RVN, Mrs Vivien Smith, who is Head Nurse as well as a Clinical Coach. Supporting Vivien is a team of 3 dedicated RVNs, Miss Leanne Ellis, Miss Valerie Joughin and Miss Jemima Riley, all of whom bring enthusiasm and a wealth of experience to our clients and their furry companions.

At Birch Veterinary Centre, we cater to a wide range of animal species, including birds, cats, dogs, exotics, wild and small mammals. Our facilities include disabled public access, referral services and we are open on weekends.
