Lovely staff who fully explain what's going on, give advice based on what's best for the pet and not their wallets, and are all round good eggs. Highly recommended

We attended Wirral Vets, Upton, this evening with our 11 week old puppy. Hannah the vet was very thorough checking him over and made us feel very reassured and at ease regarding our concerns. We will definitely return and promote her to others to use.

Brought my dog, a long-haired chihuahua, in to be checked as she severely injured a fox and I wanted to make sure she wouldn’t catch a disease from the fox! Dr. Murray-Keane checked her thoroughly and assured me my dog was safe! Thank you for outstanding service. Follow up visit on 17April2026 was fantastic as ever! Dr. Murray-Keane was very thorough and was very much into preventative medicine! Thank you!

The staff and the vet were absolutely amazing. The vet was very informative. Told me on the new project inform me of any additional costs. I have one very nervous dog and one very stressed out Dog and she was calm and reassuring with them and with myself. She explained everything to me every step of the way so I could come and reassure my two dogs Recommend

Took my friends dog to visit this vet as was referred by RSPCA. The vet we seen was amazing very clear and explained everything so clear . She had so much time for this nervous dog. And she has so much patience and was so kind to my friend as she petrified of any outcome for her dog. I did recommend this vet to ask my family and friends . Thanks from patches owner

Completely unprofessional, rude, and disorganised. I was contacted and booked in for an appointment, but after a 35-minute wait, I was told the booking was incorrect and that they couldn’t help my dog. When I questioned this, I was met with: “You’re wasting my time, do you want to find another vets?” and then blamed for the situation. To make matters worse, when I told the vet I believed my dog was seriously unwell and potentially dying, she said she could examine her but would charge a consultation fee. At that point I walked out — a shocking example of putting money above the welfare of a seriously ill animal. Their staff also mishandled medication guidance: I had reported reducing my dog’s Vetoryl dose due to side effects, but the receptionist did not transfer me to a qualified vet, and the vet blamed me for following her advice incorrectly. This practice is disorganised, unfeeling, and a complete waste of time. Avoid at all costs. The best thing is, both calls made with this practice were recorded, and clearly show the practice at fault over the booking. UPDATE, as you can see they have replied with apparent concern, this is in contrast to the email I received, here is that email: A satisfactory professional relationship between a client and their veterinary surgeon must be founded based on mutual trust and confidence. It is clear that there is no longer such a basis to our relationship. We will no longer be providing veterinary care to your pet I can see your pets history has been sent to another vets therefore we are terminating veterinary care with immediate effect Regards Wirral vets: Make of that what you will. If they were that concerned they have my number, they could have called me.
