Bishops Vets - Hatfield

Bishops Vets is amazing. Such lovely friendly staff who really like animals. It feels like a family and the treatment and care is first class.

We use Bishops vets for our cats and our dog. The reception staff and the vets are all amazing. Our cat Poppy was recently there for a dental and I have no doubt she was well cared for. Evie our cockerpoo loves going there she gets so excited and has to be stroked by everyone. I wouldn’t go anywhere else with my animals.

AVOID!!! My 10 year old beloved cat became seriously ill a month and a half ago displaying signs of a horrible ear infection which progressed onto bleeding from the nose and mouth plus other horrible symptoms.. I tried to get him an appointment to get him treatment time and time again but all the bishops vets could do was make him wait longer and longer before he could have tests done to find out what was causing his sudden downfall! I was watching my cat suffer and deteriorate for a month and a half going backwards and forwards to 3 different vets due to how serious the illness was. Bishops vets knew that my cat was declining fast daily to the point where he couldnt walk or do anything in the end and when I was constantly telling the vets this.. all they could say was that he had to wait a week for the tests instead of pushing his tests forward to save his life.. well he died 6 days before the date bishops had given him for these tests. Turned out he had a severe ear infection that led to his brain which killed him so I had to sit there with my cat in my arms while he took his last breath so he didnt suffer anymore since he suffered for a month and a half prior. Bishops failed him and me! 💔😡

First visit was excellent. Clean and tidy in all areas I saw. Staff very friendly. Cosy explained during consultation. Vet asked me if treatment plan was acceptable, did nothing without me agreeing. Totally transparent in everything suggested.

My dog cobra had some tests done at this vet’s. Very friendly welcoming staff. My dog had to spend most of the day there so very reassuring to know she was in good hands and looked after.

My puppy Winnie had his castration surgery here, very caring staff and super helpful throughout the process 😊😊

Absolutely Excellent Service! I couldn’t be happier with our visit to the vet today. The whole team was kind, professional, and so gentle with Moose, my dog. They explained everything clearly, took great care, and made us both feel completely at ease. It’s so reassuring to see such genuine compassion and expertise in one place - truly outstanding service from start to finish!

This vet practice has gone above and beyond for us and our beloved dog, they've been really helpful throughout the whole process, reassuring us when we were very stressed. All the nurses, vet and receptionists have been so lovely and helpful, helping us understanding what is going on and always putting our minds at ease when we had questions and concerns. Amazing communication with us throughout it all, and even with the ongoing vet appointments, explaining everything really well when we struggled to understand what was happening. I can't thank you all enough for everything you have done, Pepper absolutely adores all of you and always goes in happy and tail wagging and it's so reassuring after having bad experiences elsewhere. 🩷
